If you'd like to try some interesting pizza combinations, this may be a great find for you! We tried several different items... including the pizza and by far the best items we had were the Bean and Ham Soup of the day, the Italy Bread appetizer and theBacon Avocado Burger. The Cheese fries were a little embarrassing. My son described it best by saying, it looks like they putstale fries into a block of hard cheese. We struggled cutting through the hard layer of cheese just to try them. A littlebechamel sauce would go a loooong way in improving these. Melting plain cheddar over fries doesn't work. The Fish sandwich wasdecent. The build your own pizzas were good. The Beef Wrap was also ok. The Zucchini Pizza was interesting. We thought it wasactually a Zucchini crust pizza, but it's not. It is actual pieces of Zucchini sliced up on the bottom of the plate with pizzasauce, cheese and pepperoni toppings, or anything else you'd like to put as a topping. So that was different. Service was ok. Wehad to ask for refills after they were empty for a while and she completely forgot to come back with my soup inquiry. If it wasbusy I'd understand, but it was pretty empty when we got there. Early dinner at 4pm. Only 2 other groups inside and a few seatedoutdoors. Location is great. Very nice inside. It falls somewhere in the middle for me. I'd go back for the soup and bread. Theyhad an interesting trout pizza as well as a green chili pizza. You're paying for good service and great view! I can only say about the pizza. We ordered Rocky Mountain(Garlic smoked trout)... pizza and basic pepperoni pizza. Rocky Mt. trout Pizza has special toppings but has too much garlic flavor AND strong artificialsmoky flavor. Pepperoni pizza was below average for our tasting. Dough tastes just plain and hard like homemade pizza dough. Iwould not comeback for the pizza. I give 2 stars for pizza but 5 stars for onion rings, outdoor seating view and service. If youwant to try their specialty pizza I would recommend getting individual size. Read more
Wife said pizza smelled good. We were hungry and had time to kill. Was able to sit outside listening to the creek. Great... weather. But.. the plastic wicker bench we sat in was terrible. Sank into the center, uncomfortable for both of us. We ordereda small specialty pizza which fed two adults. Our child got the individual size which was great for her. Take note you cannotask for a topping left off of a specialty pizza. Overall wasn't too impressed with the pizza for the price or the bench we saton. Still was able to enjoy the meal thanks to wonderful weather and the creek. Read more
Had the bacon and avocado burger with a side salad.... next time I'll only have the burger. The salad or burger would have been... plenty. Had to take the salad for an afternoon meal. I had a alien next time(name not exactly right) it was good but sweet Hubshad the reuben and fries with a Jack and cola. Maybe do a half order of fried next time. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Got right in without a wait which was great. Host = great Server = great Location =... great, even has one of the best patios in the summer for eating by the river. Food = not terrible, but nothing special either.My wife and I each ordered our own build your own pizzas and they were just okay. Fries were pretty flavorless and had no salt.Everything was pretty bland and didn?t have much flavor. Read more
The drink menu was HI-larious. We head a large pizza it was WAY much for two people. Server was attentive and excellent in... every way. Pizza was cold in the middle. Seems like they par-baked the crust then put it in a cheese melter? It would havetasted better if it is was hot throughout. It was good on day 2 re-heated. Pizza was $55.00 for a large pizza and jalapenopopper app. Pizza is cheaper in Napoli. The jalapeno app was HOT and delicious. Food was good just not sure it was worth theNYC price? Read more
Poppy's is always a delicious delight. It is a mandatory stop for our family each time we visit Estes Park. The pizza is... perfect and the service is always warm and welcoming. Enjoy a seat on the patio listening to the creek flow past on a coolautumn afternoon. Read more
