Pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! There is a certain level of taste I expect with Indian food, here in the US. Most... of the time it hovers around disappointment with acceptance that it will never taste as good as back home. But Royal Indiastepped above that level. I got the Veg Kadai with paneer, Garlic Naan and brown rice. I asked for a spicy Veg Kadai and I didNOT get raw paprika added on top of the vegetable to make it spicy. I got a flavor of spicy meaning that the paprika was cookedinto the curry. The garlic naan was thin, garlicky and well-made. The brown rice was pretty decent. I used Uber Eats to get thefood, so can't comment on the location and service. But the food has definitely been better than a lot of Indian restaurantsI've tried in medium-sized cities. Read more

I see they have a great over-all rating but for my first experience with this restaurant I was not impressed. I love Indian... curry. I ordered through uber eats. My first complaint is that I ordered butter chicken and I got something else. It was achicken dish in a green curry sauce. Not very curry though. Also I ordered Dahl Makhani. It was too sweet. If you are craving for good Indian food in the Eugene, OR area, Royal India Cuisine is worth a shot. We tried their Dal Makhani... and Paneer Tikka Masala for main course and Kheer for dessert. Their portion size is really big, we ordered two entrées for twopeople and ended up taking half of it to-go. Not the most authentic Dal Makhani I would say, but it was delicious andcomforting. Glad I took a chance on this place. Indian food can be a gamble sometimes of finding good places. Was here for work and craving... Indian food, was definitely satisfied. Yes its a tad expensive but I took at least 2 more meals of leftovers so was worth it tome. I got the cauliflower Manchurian, paneer Tikka masala and garlic Naan. The cauliflower appetizer was very rich and tasty!However the consistency I wish was better, with the cauliflower deep fried and smothered in sauce it made the dish mushy. Wonderwhat deep fried hard with light sauce over it would taste like. Regardless, the flavor was there. I definitely liked the masala,I got it medium and I like that this place uses more sweet flavors, so with getting it medium I got a nice sweet and spicycombination. Great indian food. Staff was welcoming and helpful with menu. I had a lentil soup as appetizer then got the chicken tikka masala... with white basmati rice and a butter nan. Overall great indian food but the level of spicy ???? wasnt that spicy. I thoughtaking a medium spicy will be really spicy because its indian but unfortunately it wasnt even spicy. For us it was actually on the way some Indian restaurant from Gold beach to Seattle. But it turned out to be good diversion.... Reception was exactly how the receptionist should be and probably its a catch! I was not expecting authentic Indian restuarantand to our surprise it was really good in the suburb. Fried fish was particularly prepared in good flavored dough and chilipaneer was good too. We asked for spicy chicken biryani, but it was not that spicy. May its because most of the customers aremostly Americans and so the dishes were more Americanized. But the flavor and taste was nice. Definitely recommended! Read more
