Tried this place for the first time! Really good chicken, the collard greens were to die for! Cornbread is really good too! The... Carib donut was a bit bready and needed some dipping sauce, in my opinion. Service was a bit odd, the lady asked me if I wantedto tip after I already had. I personally would never ask a customer to tip, but she was very nice and maybe had just had a longday or something. Would highly recommend! It?s in the back of Coldfire so we were able to sit and have a beer while we waitedfor our food. Read more

Absolutely delicious food. It?s a small but very varied menu so you don?t feel like it?s missing anything. We drive from Sweet... Home to eat here when we can because nowhere else has their fried chicken half as good as this. So glad we found this place! Read more

Had some doubles a while back at Civic Winery topped with what I'm pretty sure were oxtails if memory serves. They were sublime.... I still long for that taste. At another event, I tried some ribs. Equally delicious. Everybody I know who likes to eat deliciousfood says to go here, and they are not wrong. Coming back and bringing friends and family. On our list for top places to eat inEugene when people ask. Thank you for being awesome! Read more

This is a food truck in a truck pod with a big tent with multiple picnic tables for seating. The chicken, beignets and plantains... were delicious. The food even came with fresh fruits. I'll be back! Read more

I'm new to Eugene and just discovered this yummy food truck owned by Isaiah - who happened to be there on my visit. Isaiah and I... had a wonderful conversation about the San Francisco Bay Area and food. I'm so glad I found a place serving pasture-raised andgluten-free battered fried chicken and local ingredients! The chicken is delicious - crispy crust and juicy inside. The collardgreens are also amazing with just the right amount of spice kick - the rice porridge is mine (rice was not a part of this yummymeal). Well, I have to get back to my yummy meal now. Thank you, Isaiah! Read more

This is the best fried chicken I?ve had in Oregon. The spices and simplicity are perfect. We also had the curry on flat bread... and plantains. Both extremely flavorful and was unexpected. Good prices and definitely shareable. We will come again. Read more

Outstanding food ? Fried chicken. My co-eater broke SIX YEARS of being a vegetarian to eat this chicken- no lie- bc it looked... so good & as a former chicken lover he was compelled to try it. He pronounced it ?the best friend chicken I?ve ever eaten. ? Ihave to say, I do not eat the meat anymore, but my sister used to make the world?s best and this looks like the real deal. (Thecast iron matters bc it?s HARD to make good fried chicken- the depth & heat of the oil factored with the density of the meat andbones, etc.. It is not an easy feat. I could never do it but I?ve had some amazing versions and I?m taking my co-eater?s wordhere.) NOTE: Good fried chicken takes time - this is not a taco, it's gonna be a minute. ? The vegan beet salad was a work ofsincere love. The beets, the lettuce, the jicama, the dressing- none of that came from a package or a bottle. These are primoingredients prepared with attention. ? Doubles! - A beautiful expression of the culinary mix up that is the unique Caribbeanflavor way- a bit spicy a bit sweet and the right kind of scotch bonnet based HOT sauce- yes! ( I?m lucky enough to have someTrini?s cook for me and these are good. Flavorful, well executed, do yourself a favor and get you some.) ? The grits- dang. Seeother reviews, they are superior and obviously also home made. ? The Cornbread- also well described but I?ll echo- not youraverage cornbread. Moist, well flavored, delicate crumb. Don't forget to go get a delicious CF beer to wash it down, I thinkthe Pilsner goes well. Thanks, Isaiah, for bringing your gifts to the people. We are so happy you got a truck and we now knowwhere to find you! Read more
