Wonderful food and drinks..it is a little pricy but you get what you pay for.

As a bar, it's a straight up hard drinker's place, but not at all a dive. They have an excellent selection of liquor. If you... can't find it here, you probably won't find it in Eureka. It's very old school 1950s in style, except of course there are noashtrays. This place makes me notice the lack of them, that's how 1950s drinking era it is. Like *everywhere* in Eureka themixed drinks are a bit off from what you'd expect in a major city. Don't judge too harshly, you won't find anything better forat least 200 miles. Read more

Dinner at 511/Pearl Lounge was impressive. We ate in the lounge, the atmosphere was great. Dated ...but hip, very clean and very... well maintained. Stylized from the late 90's or early 2000's suits the place well. We started with the scallop special which wasperfectly prepared and dressed. The subtle, clean flavors of the sauce celebrated the scallop flavors. I chose the bone in porkchop for my main. It was well seasoned and nicely paired with an array of sides (kale and sweet potato) with an apple chutney ontop. A very nice cut, moist and tremendously flavorful. My wife chose the trout. It too was perfectly cooked and presentedbeautifully. The sauce was a bit overpowering for the delicate flavor of trout, but it was a very good sauce. Dessert wasflourless chocolate cake (so rich and tasty) and a banana's fosters (super moist and excellent texture). The food was great, theplace was well put together. We will eat here again.
