This place isn?t as good as the ones I?m used to in Hawaii, the meats are sliced so thin it don?t make no sense ???????????.... Totally over priced and not worth the money. If you ever lived in Hawaii and been to one, this place is trash! Read more
I got the Kalua pork with cabbage, the cabbage was cooked fine and the pork was moist but it was missing some flavor such as bbq... sauce or something. It had enough pork, but could have had more cabbage instead of two scoops of rice. Mac salad was okay. Read more
Family just got to this area after a long road trip and wanted something other than fried greasy fast food. They seem to be... renovating their restaurant so they were only doing take-outs. Price is reasonably good for the portion and the quality. Foodwas made fresh to order. Only con for me was the rice. Too much water, made it soggy. Staff was friendly and shop was nice andclean, they also own the mini asian grocer nxt door. We ordered L&L Combo w/ bbq chicken, spam saimin, chicken katsu. All weregood. Saimin had that actual saimin taste to it like frm da island kine taste. The keikis loved the katsu, crunchy and tasty.That sauce that it came with wasn't overly tangy (some katsu sauce has that weird tang and after taste, but not thisone). Unfortunately, i forgot to take pix before we devoured the food. Would like to try their loco moco for nxt time. Read more
Ordered from here on a whim and I?m so glad I tried it. Currently, it?s just take out (no inside seating). It?s not much to look... at from the outside, but the workers were very polite and helpful. My meal was ready in under 10 minutes and the food was great.The woman working the counter made sure to let us know the rice was ?sticky rice? and would be a different texture than the ricewe were used to. I ordered the Katsu and it was crispy and delicious. We will stop again! Read more
We love the BBQ Chicken Plate! Flavorful, paired with 2 scoops of rice and the creamiest macaroni salad. One of our favorite... ?fast food? spots. 2 regular plates for about $20 makes it super affordable, too! If you?re being very careful in this pandemicthen this place will make you feel very secure in their highly hygienic, no-touch, mask-required environment.
