Sushi is pretty good here- I think it used to be better. Sashimi cuts are a bit thin though. They have great tempura appetizer... and lots of rolls and such. Read more

I?ve been eating at Coast for nearly a decade, and it?s always been quality, tasty sushi. Still is. It has also always been a... little expensive. But after their recent price increases they?re sky high now. I assumed it was just the market, but tonight Ichecked around for some place new and discovered that they?ve left the market in the area, far, far behind. If their clientelewill continue to patronize them with their prices being so much higher than other quality competitors in the area, good forthem. But they?ve gotten too rich for my blood. Stopped by for drinks and to order dinner to go. Angel greeted and took care of us. Ordered the spider, creamy, spicy tuna and... scallop maki rolls. We enjoyed martinis while we waited. I am pleasantly surprised by Coast after my third dinner here. The service is great and I love the food (essentially Japanese... and sushi). There are some really creative dishes as well and decent selection of Sake. It's typically not hard to walk in orget delivery although it can be expensive for delivery and portions are not huge. I tend to sit at the bar for sushi but tablesare often plentiful and available for families and small groups. For the area, it's a great option and I find myself returningalthough I would recommend slightly larger portions for my American belly. Read more
This is the best sushi place we've found on the Northside....granted after finding Coast Sushi, we've been much less inclined to... explore others! The staff is always very friendly and attentive and the speciality sushi is genuinely special, tasty, andreasonably priced. Read more
Great sushi hidden away in Evanston. Service was excellent and atmosphere is what to expect from a high end sushi restaurant
