Good food. It was a little loud but I think it's from the kind of food being made. Nice decor. Knowledgeable wait staff. ... Wish the food was a bit more for the price or less expensive, but still worth the price. The honey toast was DELISH! Read more

2nd Language has a side entrance on Ingle St. up a small flight of stairs sharing the same building as Pangaea Pizzeria. The... restaurant serves a South East Asian menu with appetizers of gyoza and filled buns and entries mainly of ramen and rice bowls. Some food items are lunch only. Vegan and vegetarian options are available. The ramen bowls are a few dollars more than someoptions in town, but I feel the ingredient quality and portion size fit the price. I enjoyed the smoke ramen bowl that comeswith a cold smoked pork belly and a black garlic oil and left satisfied. The ambience played off the S. E. Asia theme and wasof a quality that you'd expect from a family restaurant. Read more

Romantic hideout, classic highly entertaining experienced bartender with word on the street, Vegetarians can fit in here with... ease. Higher end price point so make sure you spot $100 for your meal plus your tip. My only thought is to upgrade the attire ofthe Bartender, Servers & Cook Staff- to match the level of interior design which is a treasure in its self- pinstripes, suspenders, white tanks & fedoras with quail feathers. ???????? Cool older building, simple menu. Dress up or casual. The dumpling appetizers and Ramen are very, very good. Presentation is... nice and the staff are friendly and helpful. If your looking for something different this is a great spot. Maybe not a 1st datespot as Ramen can be messy to eat. We had 2 alcoholic drinks, 1 appetizer and 2 entrees under $70 Read more

Our server, Laura W, was informative, fun, & appropriately attentive. The food was amazing! The atmosphere was comfortable &... simply decorated, busy but not noisy. The crispy chicken appetizer was flavorful, crisp & went well with the spicy aoli & BBQdips. The pork belly was cooked perfectly. It was crisp, juicy, smokey, perfectly served in the smokey pork ramen with lovelyadd-ins of charred bokchoy & chili oil. The toasted honey cake with vanilla ice cream & the vegan coconut brulee were heavenly! The Calypso drink was rum forward and ended sweet. My companions had vegetarian ramen, a pork sausage ramen, Thai pork sauagemeatballs, cokes, & strawberry basil shortcake. All delicious. Enough to share and take home. $119 plus a generous tip $64 forgreat service and to honor my birthday. Read more

Came for a business lunch and was pleasantly surprised. We expected good food having been to Pangea plenty of times, so there... was already a bit of background there- but still a different place of course. I got the Traditional Ramen bowl and it was quitegood, but I’ll need to modify for my tastes going forward. The pork belly was a bit more fatty than I had hoped (I get it,it’s pork belly so it’s fat- but sometimes you get lean pork belly too ha!). And I like trying new things but the softegg… oh dear very much not for me. I’m fact the soft egg almost ruined my lunch so I got that out of there- so don’t gomixing that bad boy into your soup until you try it first! The food is 5-star quality for sure though and my business partnerhad the salad and ate every bite. Definitively worth trying. For the owners, best Ramen I’ve ever had is a place on UKcalled Wagamama. Maybe steal some of their dishes! Keep up the good work. Read more
