Pleasantly surprised by this place. Its a bit on the expensive side, meaning if you’re expecting a $10 plate it’s more like... $20- but that’s because everything is expensive these days and they use good quality ingredients- so they cost more. The flipside though is you get an excellent meal with a lot of authentic flavor. Everything I tried was good and so if you like thisstyle of food, you will like this place. Read more

The food was yummy and hot. The salad was generous and the gyro was good. The bread on the gyro was a good balance of crisp and... bendy. It wasn’t like a tortilla you get at some gyro shops. Side falafel was great with the dip too. Even the fries, whichare the most plain stupid part of my meal, were good and a good compliment to all of the other flavors going on. Read more

I ordered a very simple gyro and rice meal with bread not expecting the greatest middle eastern food I've ever eaten to be... served. It may have been a simple dish, but it really reminded me of my Mama's cooking. It really felt like they poured loveinto it. Absolutely amazing restaurant with the most kind and well mannered staff I've seen. An absolute pleasure. Read more

Everything is fresh and amazing. This is my second time here and it is probably one of my favorite places in Evansville. My... boyfriend stated it is his favorite place. This place is very welcoming with the front door held open. First thing to notice is the amazing smells of the food here. It... hits you walking up to the door. They keep it official with you at kabob express, very professional, one of a kind service thatwill leave you wanting to try everything! It all sounds so good, I will tell you my experience with the food I ordered. MIXEDAPPETIZER- was made fresh an served to my table in a timely manner and as fresh as could be. Served cold, the hummus is drizzledwith olive oil an herbs and the pitas are grilled hot an crispy an fluffy. The grape leaf wraps were worth trying if you neverhad them! GYRO PLATE- this will have your mouth watering! Not only is the lamb grilled fresh an tender like it should be, butthey take pride in blending flavors to match right for the bite! The Naan bread is buttery garlic crisp an hot off thegrill. TURKISH COFFEE- definitely comes to the table served in silver! Like a hot shot of espresso, it's a small few sips witha nice cacao flavor Read more

Kabob Express does an excellent job at giving you great tasting food, at a pretty competitive price. Coming here, I honestly... didn't know what to expect, my fiance and I were looking for somewhere new to try and we found it and dove right in. I haveonly ever had Mediterranean style food, really only a select few times and this might have been my favorite one to date. Thefood is made in an open air kitchen in front of you essentially so you can see and know your food is made properly which isalways nice for people that care about that sort of thing. The wait time is around 10-15 minutes so make sure you are aware ofthat and place an order ahead of time if you are ordering for lunch. Ours took a little longer, at around 20 minutes, howeverthey gave us a free Baklava with our meal which is very appreciated and something we were thinking about trying out anywaysbecause we were feeling adventurous. The plate meals will run you about $15, and the sandwiches around $10, but both come withgreat sides. The salad was an excellent surprise for me, it tasted really good and could have had it for a main dish personallyand would have been happy with how good it was. Pictured in my review is a Gyro Plate meal, a Chicken Sandwich Meal, along withthe Baklava. Everything tasted fresh, and is a place we will certainly be visiting again soon. Read more
