I unfortunately had the worst service I've have experienced while eating out yesterday. I'm not writing this to be a prude. I'm... writing this so hopefully the manger/owner can step up and do something. I had reservations at noon, and I arrived at 11:50. Iwas seated, waiting for my dad. I was able to order a drink. My dad arrived 10 mins later, and the waitress didn't come to takeour order until 15 mins later. We both ordered the NY strip steak. At this point, the restaurant was starting to clear out;there isn't that many tables to begin with. Not only did it take another hour for our food to come out, our waitress didn't comeby once. Not to offer a refill, not let us know what was going on. The manger had to come by to let us know what was going andoffered us a 50% discount, which was not even applied at the end, and to finally refill our drinks. This was my first timevisiting and I probably won't be back. I go to Sauced probably once a week as it's my favorite place to dine in Evansville, andI have never had a bad service there once and the food is always excellent. Hope Schymicks can get it together soon because thiswas a huge disappointment. Read more

Hush puppy appetizer= YUMMY! Best we?ve ever had! The Cuban Porkwith lime cilantro rice, black beans, slaw, & plantains was excellent. The Snapper with fresh vegetables, tasty with beautifulpresentation.The atmosphere is simply elegant and serene. Visited Schymik?s for brunch while I was in town for the holidays and I was incredibly impressed. They don?t offer an... overwhelming selection, but instead take more basic dishes and make creative twists that are both beautiful and deliciouscreations, and made with fine ingredients. You can tell they have high standards of quality and the staff has talent and passionfor what they do. It?s in the little details like this house made chive cream cheese and fresh spices... We really enjoyed thesmoked salmon and bagels. Also, they offer a unique and untapped experience in Evansville - ticketed private meals, with fixedmenus and a more intimate experience.
