The food here is DISGUSTING! Super bland, mushy and just overall oddly tasted. My rice tasted like a cardboard box and my... noodles were slimy and disgusting. The actual meal tasted like someone had poured finger nail polish remover on it or something!Literally threw an entire lunch entree in the trash can because I was afraid it was going to make me puke!! My first time here and honestly the best food I've had in Evansville without a doubt. Ordered the Dinner for 2 and it was well... worth the price.. the service was phenomenal and they should be so proud of the experience they give each table. Will be backsoon to try other dishes! Read more

Don?t be fooled by the fake reviews on here. Yen Ching is not good. It?s incredibly bland, even with all kinds of sauces &... spices added from home. It is highly overpriced for the quality. We ate a few bites & then decided to get fast food. If it is aMonday, you want a Chinese fix, & your favorite is closed, pick somewhere else! The chicken was bitter and slimy. For me, this is the most authentic Chinese restaurant in Evansville. The food isn't bought from the same supplier as most... Chinese restaurants that I have visited. The atmosphere is really great. I love the egg drop soup and their General Tsoschicken. They had to remove their buffet due to Covid, but their food quality is superb. I bought a family package for fouradults and we had enough for lunch the next day. Their service is always friendly and top notch. Read more

Would have been 5 stars except we recently ate at a Chinese restaurant that was just a bit better. Service at Yen Ching was... outstanding. Not only were they fast, polite, and accurate, they kept my water glass full the entire meal (that means a lotbecause I drink a lot). Food was hot and fresh. No buffett ???? at this time. This is a very lovely and authentic chinese restaurant. Absolutely love the decor both in and out of the building. Food was... served fresh and blistering hot. I opted for egg rolls, egg drop soup and hunan fish extra spicy. The egg rolls are massive andvery good. The egg drop soup is a bit different here than your standard chinese restaurant. Various veggies were included whichyou rarely see. The hunan fish was very tender and delicious. The portion size was most generous. I swear my take out box weighsmore than 3 pounds! A very nice sit down Chinese restaurant. The staff is very friendly, and the service is prompt. The food comes out steaming hot... and the appetizers are quick to arrive. P.S. - The best crab Rangoon?s I?ve ever had! Prices are fairly reasonable, you getplenty of food at a good quality. Read more
