My family and I absolutely love this Teryaki And Sushi Restaurant! The food is soooo flavorful and delicious! There is so much... to choose from on the menu which makes it easier for the whole family to pick stuff they like! The staff is always so friendlyand welcoming and the restaurant itself is always clean and neat. Great service and food. Read more

Used to be the best teriyaki place in the area. Huge portions, chewy, delicious chicken, lots of sauce, a little side of veggies... with the rice, etc. Got it for the first time in a few months and was extremely disappointed. Everything was the exact opposite.Very small portions of meat (but the price is no different), the chicken is basically ok chicken nuggets now, very dry as thereis almost no sauce, no more veggies, but rather 3 scoops of rice to fill the container. Don't know what happened, really sadit's changed so much for the worse. Read more

We have now had 2 bad experiences from this place for dinner. Last nights was so bad it was unbeatable. We both ordered... teriyaki chicken and paid extra for fried rice instead of brown. There was a shallow layer of fried rice on the bottom and thenbrown rice on top?both were very mushy, soft and wet. Mine had the large and a small section filled with it with very littlechicken. The 2nd small space had something like wet mushy veggies, or a bit of wilted wet salad, I think I saw a piece ofcarrot, the rest was green. The other dinner had all 3 spaces, the large and 2 small ones filled with the mushy rice and verylittle chicken. It was unbeatable except for the few pieces of chicken which didn?t have much teriyaki flavor at all. Absolutely worst order out I?ve had so I had to write this first for me, and I also called them. Will never order from hereagain. We just threw away our money on garbage. Read more

We go to Joa all the time and think they have the best teriyaki in downtown Everett. They are always quick and friendly and get... our orders right. We have ordered multiple dishes from them and always enjoyed everything we?ve gotten. We still take COVIDseriously so like to be able to get our meals to go. They have containers that work well for that. We find their servings to begenerous and usually get two meals out of each order. Read more

Not much value but they are expensive. They serve this hot food in Plastic--because toxic chemicals make it better??? It comes... with "rice and vegetables" but you look under the few pieces of cabbage and carrots slice and you see--more rice?!?! You cansubstitute rice and veggies for Yakisoba noodles --for $2 charge??? Um okay. But at the time of this posting this plate ofGeneral Tso's Chicken (and MSG) with rice and rice/vegetables cost $13.49 plus tax. So again a lot of price and not much value. Read more

Pro: if you?re in a pinch, they are open late, until 11:30pm. Cons: rather small serving size for the price. Heavy on rice,... light on protein (I got chicken teriyaki) and the mixed vegetables?it?s literally one bite of cabbage with some scatteredcarrots on top of rice. See photo. Overall I was hungry and happy to see them open, but I likely wouldn?t return. Read more

Hate to dislike a new place, especially during COVID, but their competition is fierce! I've been told not to order sushi rolls... from a place that doesn't serve sushi - nigiri or sashimi... I should have listened! The dragon roll was edible but barely. Nota fan of the piece size or the sauce taste. Freshness of eel was decent but lots of bones? (New issue/experience for me...) Thechicken teriyaki bowl was the best item ordered but nothing special. I would definitely ask for more sauce on everything, especially the chicken/beef combo with zero extra sauce. (Maybe there's a plastic container shortage, I'm unaware of? This isCOVID times, so that is definitely possible.) They have a sign requesting a liquor license, so I will definitely stop in whenthey open for full service dining, because I like to support local spots, but I won't return for take-out anytime soon.
