This is an upscale eclectic place, and the baking is well done with creative results, but the prices are over the top. My almond... croissant was full of almond paste, but my ham & cheese croissant barely had any ham in it at all. Half of it was totally empty.Third item was a pumpkin cheesecake Danish. $20 is just a bit too much to pay for three items. Overall, each baked item isconsistently over browned when baked. My daughter gave me one of her macaroons & it was pretty dry. I come here with familywhile visiting & treat the expenditure as an indulgent vacation cost, as most of us do while away from home. Bread is excellent but pastries are nothing special. Prices are outrageous! For $42 I got 3 macaroons(dry with chalky... chocolate), 2 scones which were good, a bear claw that was very good and a loaf of sourdough. Since I was just visiting thearea I didn't question the cost. But at these prices I should have been wowed. I was not. Prices are not listed anywhere that Icould see for pastries and bread so it was a shock....$25 would have been a reasonable price for what I got. Service was greatbut perhaps that's because they are happy to be raking in the dough! Read more

Good atmosphere and friendly staff. The reason for only 2 stars: The first timevwe went there was on a Saturday st 12:30 PM.... All the bread shelves were empty and our French dip hardly had any beef! At our 2nd visit,, the Alpine egg and cheese sandwichwas 1small egg and a slice of cheese. It was dry and ovepriced for $11.00, We then decided to buy a loaf of bread. It wasrather small and cost $15.00! By the time we took it home, the bread became soft. There was nothing special about this bread, and at the most, it should have cost about $5.00! This by far was the most overpriced bread we have ever purchased, and we buybread from many different location. $15.00 for a small loaf of bread!!! This is a good place for coffee and maybe some pastry, only! Read more

I was incredibly impressed with my experience at Evergreen Bread. The food was incredibly delicious - the type of comfort food... you crave - and the service was fast and friendly. You can tell that this cozy spot is a family owned business that cares abouttheir product and puts a lot of thought, time, and love into their craft. I?ll definitely be back! Read more

Stumbled upon this place and boy do I need to come back! We got here at about 1:30 and you could tell the place was cleaned... out, but I was able to snag the last ham and cheese croissant and OMG talk about flaky!!! The bread wall was completely emptyand the sweet cashier told me they sell out almost daily and next time to come early! Even though it was almost closing, theopen space seating areas were pretty full. Definitely coming back. Read more

I?m so late in writing this review, but Evergreen Bread and Cocktail Lounge deserves to be written about. The owner really did a... great job to make a lovely bakery and coffee shop. I want to acknowledge the owner, but his name slips my mind. He was very kindin a time of covid. He was nice enough to come talk to me about his beautiful establishment. It made my experience even morepersonable. Now back to the lovely and tasty treats. This place is a carb lovers dream and nightmare all at the same time. Theyhave delicious fresh bread and pastries that pair great with premiere coffee. I?m not much of a coffee person, so I opted fortea. I got the tangerine ginger tea which was so nice to me. I love anything with ginger. I didn?t get a chance to try thepastries, but my friend loved them. The presentation of the pastries were so esthetically pleasing. I wish this place was whereI lived.
