Quality of the meat was great, I just can't justify the price...my birria sandwich was $15 no fries or drink. This doesn't even... come with an option to upgrade to a meal... I get what's trying to be done here, but if they want to last a long time, I needmore meat in my sandwich. If spend $20 at Katz I get quality MEAT in between my two slices of grilled bread. Sadly nothere... It's a type a place for me that I can say "I went and it was good" kinda place, but wouldn't go back anytime soon. Read more

Support local business!! Glad we have some variety food choices in west Oahu rather than fast food chains. I ordered the... lobster roll with corn chowder add on ( add on like corn chowder/ fries/ etc is only $1) The lobster roll is ONO!! Also orderedthe BBQ brisket sandwich. Great sandwiches! I'd prefer more of the pickled veggies, but otherwise at least they give a generous amount of meat and the... bread was fresh. We had the spicy sausage and prime rib sandwiches and ate it all:) I appreciate the beeper system to let youknow your order is ready (as it takes about 15-20min) and their cuts in the containers for take out so your fries don't getsoggy on the drive home:) Read more
We got the lobster roll and waffle fries, and my wife got lobster roll with clam chowder, there was just way to much filling and... not enough meat, it almost taste like the meat came from a can. And there is so much coleslaw and bread that you can't evenenjoy the lobster. Imagine going to Subway and order your sub as a 6in.. and putting it on a foot long to eat. I never heard of Jolene's until I went to the opening of their Ewa Beach location. I ordered their famous lobster roll. It was... so delightfully good I told my friends and co-workers about it. I went back after a couple of days and ordered bbq pork salad.The order was so huge and everything in it from the tasty BBQ pork to the fresh and pickled veggies, were awesome! Not to forgetthe homemade dressing. For me, the product excellence plus the friendliness of the staff make the trip worthwhile. I'm afraidI've developed a habit of being there at least once a week. And I don't hesitate to recommend Jolene's-Ewa Beach to otherpeople, anytime! Read more
Jolene?s is a cute small restaurant, nicely decorated. Food is different, small menu. A few teas, slushes & can products. I got... the garlic shrimp & fish plate. The fish looked as if they battered it several times to recook it. The shrimp (very smallshrimp) didn?t taste like garlic at all. White rice was good and the small salad was very tasty. Girl at cash register was nicebut talked so low we couldn?t hear her. When we said excuse me we didn?t hear you, she just stared at us. The girl wrapping theorders was not friendly or a happy camper. Service was very slow. We were the only ones in the restaurant and it took 45minutesor more. She also seemed offended we asked for a fork. She mumbled something but I couldn?t hear her & she just handed me afork. We had walked there bc it?s in our daughters neighborhood. Our daughter called in her order and we waited another 45min-1hour for it. I asked, to make sure they did call in the order and we weren?t waiting for nothing. She didn?t like that I asked,she said no, there isn?t any order in that name. So I texted out daughter who?s been there several times. Everyone?s orderedwere packaged with a dark blue cute ribbon in a nice bag, like the picture I posted. Everyone walked in and out with the cutepackaged food. When she handed me ours it was in a plastic bag and no place to hold it. I said oh, sorry but we?re walking canwe have a bag. She said, no those are .50cents. I said, ok I?ll buy one. :/ She ignored the $1. My husband put on the counterfor another 10minutes. Not a great place in my eyes. We won?t be back. Read more
