The food was delicious and the service from Julian, our waiter, was excellent! We sat outside and it was cool and breezy. The... landscaping at the Elms is beautiful! Had a very enjoyable lunch! Read more

I have been here each time I stay at The Elms. It is every bit a part of experiencing a stay at The Elms, as enjoying the Spa... or Lap Pool. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is unique to The Elms and nestles itself quite well right off the mainlobby. The charm is unparalleled with the rich dark wood from a bygone era mingled with bright and modern furnishings. Thecenterpiece is the fireplace, which oversees the restaurant as it has for many decades. It is a beautiful piece, and bringsthat one of a kind warmth to the 88. Equally as prominent as the decor, are the Staff who bring the soul of the restaurant tolife. These folks are exceptionally good at what they do, and their personalities shine. I have to give special recognition toSydney, Nathan, and Pamela. They took the time to get to know me and my wife during our stay at The Elms. It was the attentionto detail and efforts to go above and beyond my expectations that left me speechless. The food... is 5/5. We got exactly whatwe wanted, and even on the following day I had a special request to be sent up to my room, which unbelievably they accommodated, even tho it was not on the menu!! Whilst not inexpensive by any stretch of the imagination, you are paying not just for thefood, but for the entire experience. And sometimes, it's more than worth to have the creme de la creme no matter the price inthe menu. To experience The Elms without eating at the 88, would be almost heresy. Highly recommended, and again a special hattip to the Staff. Read more

Typically, one doesn't expect much from a hotel restaurant, but 88 at the Elms was extraordinary. Breakfast was great! Dinner... was flat out fantastic! My chop was exquisitely tender and flavorful. The Chef's risotto was absolutely perfect. The stickytoffee pudding really made dinner memorable. Five Stars ???? Read more

Seemed to be typical, mediocre hotel resturant. Enjoyed a few cocktails and breakfast in the morning too. The breakfast buffet... was not great and I would suggest skipping in favor of ordering from the menu. Read more

Most of the food was very good. There were a couple duds like the quesadilla and the belgian waffle. But the steak was great,... and so was the pork shoulder. They also have possibly the very best french fries I've ever had anywhere. Read more

Have eaten here before and have had pretty bad experiences. Always takes a long time to get your food- seems like the place is... always understaffed. However, the last visit to the Elms my husband and I made we decided to give it another try. Got a drink atthe bar the first night we were there and Psu was our bartender. She was incredible! So nice and so friendly, greatconversation, great drinks. Next morning we went back for breakfast. Psu promptly greeted us, even though the place was prettyfull. Our food came out in about 20 minutes. I got an omelet and my husband got the scramble. Both were hot, fresh and yummy! Ionly wish they would have buttered my toast while it was hot. Overall, much better experience than times of the past. Psu reallyknows what she’s doing and made our experience so pleasant. Seems like this place is going up which is so great to see. Wevisit the Elms quite often and it’s always been disappointing to have to travel a ways into a nearby town for meals because itwould be so convenient and nice to be able to stay at the hotel and have a wonderful meal. Happy with this experience so we willbe back to give the 88 another try ?? Read more

My sister and I stayed at the elms and dined at 88 for dinner and then had room service breakfast from the restaurant.... Everything we ate was delicious. The bacon wrapped dates appetizer was so good, we loved the fried chicken and the pork dish.Dessert is not to be missed! The blueberry cobbler and key lime pie cheesecake were both outstanding!
