WOW what a place in the middle of Exeter!! My wife and I tried 6 different plates and 2 deserts and we couldn?t pick a... favorite. Anything from tzatziki to braised short rib and everything was terrific. What a new found treat and we?ll beregulars. Read more

Don?t get me wrong, the food is good, atmosphere was great and the staff was excellent. I will say the quality, quantity, price... matrix didn?t hit the mark for me personally. Ambrose was a welcome surprise! With only 6 tables in a cozy, worldly inspired formal dining room the atmosphere was homey.... Temperature, lighting and noise were at the perfect level to focus on your dinner companion and the food. And the food!! Whileit is a smaller, curated menu, every dish was expertly prepared. The flavors were robust and complimentary of eachother. Thedetail that went into each small dish was impressive. Their cocktail list was the same. My experience that I had at the In by the bandstand hotel was incredible.
