Tried about 10 kinds so far. All great. The owner and his family are friendly. Charlie the dog is there on occasion. Pet... friendly shop. We Like to go at least once a week. Joey cutrone should probably relax. Best ice cream is a matter of opinion andeven the owners have a right to an opinion. And I think it's definitely better than Stillwell's or hodgies. Read more
This place is expensive. 20$ for a frap? I think what really got me was the listing. Claims to be the best ice cream in Exeter.... This is a new store wedged in between stillwells and memories. Two area classics who have been in business for well over 10years. Kind of a pompous remark. I beg to differ. I don't think Charlie's has the best ice cream and service you'll find in thearea. A quality business person wouldn't need to assert themselves over the local long standing and well loved competition inorder to drum up business. I had the smoothest, creamiest peanut butter oreo ice cream I've ever had here. Entire huge pieces of oreos ! We also tried... watermelon ice cream with oreo.... have you ever thought the taste of ice cream was beautiful???? If not, try the watermelon. It was creamy...refreshing... and had a lovely and full flavor. Good spot in Exeter. Good ice cream. The young lady at the counter was a charm to chat with. Definitely needs a return trip!
