I absolutely love eddington's, I've tried so much from their menu. I've had their duck, their pizzas, and many of their... appetizers. Their pastors are to die for, I used to work in a kitchen and I would have loved it if I could have worked at aplace like this, where everyone is treated like family when you walk in the door, and you see the owners just as much as you seethe staff. Not only is it everyone's options when we're celebrating someone's birthday, but I've gone here for a romanticevening, a quiet get away with a friend. The only place to go if you want to be special. The patio is big and the spacing of tables gives you lots of room. Really, its very nice. The food was very good. E loved her... arctic char and G. thought the Pickerel was well prepared. My steak was perfectly cooked--could have used a steak knife. Ithought the grilled vegetables were sort of dumped on the plate. But they were nicely cooked. While there is nothing wrong withthe wine list, there are equally good choices from Ontario. For a resto that promotes local, I really feel more wines should befrom this province. Living and eating out frequently in Toronto, I have to say if I lived near Exeter I would be at Eddington's once a week minimum.... I have been to Eddington's dozens of times over the years and the end to end experience is consistently excellent - and keepsgetting better - food, cocktails, service, atmosphere..The vibe is relaxed and comfortable. Yes, the interior is a characterfilled century old home - it's crisp and clean - so don't expect modern, the outdoor patio is massive (no stairs) and roomybetween tables. Love the local forward menu that stays current, the patio is wonderful (mature trees line the perimeter) andlive music is a nice touch. I think the place reflects Jame's heart and passion for the restaurant and providing a qualityexperience. Highly recommend if you're in the area. Read more
