Got an appetizer, entrie, and dessert. The melon soup was surprisingly the best. The soup was light, refreshing, and delicious.... I received an insanely overcooked and over salted steak for the main course but the overall flavor was nice. The sticky toffeepudding for dessert was very good. Read more

Had an amazing dinner and the lobster bisque is absolutely delicious and the Norwegian Salmon with brocolli, shredded carrot and... jasmine rice with lemon and butter. It was top notch! Read more

Went here for a birthday dinner with the family, and we went right as it opened with more then 10 people so we rushed them a bit... at open but the steaks that came were overcooked and their pastas and (chicken or shrimp) Frances was way too lemony to eveneat. Their service was great and the wait staff was super kind and accommodating. Food for us was a 3/10 and unsatisfying. Don'trecommend this place if you're looking for "fancy" dining other then the atmosphere of the actual dining room and the women'sbathroom was dirty. 41 dollars for a prime rib that was overdone. Will not be coming back Read more

If you see Robert Irvine from "Restaurant Impossible" coming to your restaurant with a camera crew, lock the doors. This was... our favorite "go to" restaurant. Loved the formal dining rooms as well as the less formal back room. But Robert Irvine turnedthe back dining room into something that looks like a cold, 1950s cafeteria and replaced menu favorites like the Ship InnSeafood Salad with trendy tavern food. So sorry to see it's up for sale. Not surprising. Read more

I was very excited to go to dinner with my family on Valentines Day yesterday at a restaurant I've wanted to try for years. ... Food was average for $30 per plate. The biggest complaint was the service - although we made reservations, when we arrived theywere clearly understaffed and our server was anxiously rushed. She was the only server covering the entire floor and neverchecked our table again for refills during our hour wait. We asked for a modification to the menu and the waitress said theyare not making any changes to the menu. For the price per plate, I would expect more understanding. Overall, I think therewere staffing issues and the people working looked very unhappy which made me uncomfortable. This review is meant to serve asan opportunity to improve operations and customer experience. Read more

We decided to try the Ship Inn again, after seeing it on Restaurant Impossible. It's that restaurant that has always been... there, but you never go to, unless its a special occasion or by specific request. Upon coming back we were seated in the newlyremodeled area. Our waitress Francine was very friendly, knowledgeable, and had many great stories about Robert Irvine and theshow . True behind the scenes stuff, which we found helpful when selecting items. We had the Sauerbraten special and theeggplant Flatbread which was a featured item on TV. The sauerbraten was excellent with a deep, multi layer gravy on the eyeround. The spatlze was the star of the plate. The eggplant flat bread was ok. The eggplant was a bit crispy for our liking andalthough tasty, we would not order again. The helpful waitress even brought a order of fries out with the plate because it wasserved with fries on the show, but not as listed on menu. We also ordered the mushroom soup and it was a amazing. Like goodenough to go back for, just for it...all in all dinner was good, and you should give it a try. Look up the episode on TVbefore you go. Price point is a bit too high compared to surrounding restaurants but it is a unique place. Read more

This place is averages out to just okay. The prices are ridiculously high, almost 20 for a cheeseburger with no other toppings... other than LTO. The onion rings were not freshly battered. The drink was weak and incorrectly made (rye in an old fashion?) thecrab cake meal was low on crab but otherwise okay. The decor is nice since they renovated. There is a nice outdoor section now.The service was mediocre and it took 35 minutes for two meals and there 4 tables filled. The fries were soggy and the burger wasway over cooked. The parking lot is weird too, with a random fence sticking out in the middle of it… that’s all I got. Passon this one. Read more

It's been a very long time since we last visited the place. The bistro portion of the restaurant had recently been redone, and... the overall decor is contemporary, airy and quite appropriate for casual dining. We ordered the mushroom soup which was good. Wetried a few of the new featured items, Crispy Brie, Ship Inn Wings, Korean BBQ chicken cheesesteak and Wedge Salad. All werepretty good except the wings which were dried with uneatable wingtips. The wait staffs were friendly and knowledgeable. We had agood experience, however, we just wished they have more items on the menu or more than one daily special. Read more
