Had the thippili rasam for starters. Was just right for a cold winter?s day, with its blend of health-giving spices. The dosai... was crisp and the masala was delicious! Siva, who waited on us, was very friendly and accommodating of our special needs. Herecommended the spinach sabji to take home and gave us a taste. It was too good to resist and so we took some home! The foodhere is authentic South Indian, with a fresh, homemade taste. They have the real South Indian dessert?Chakkara Pongal! Trulyenjoyable lunch!? Read more

Upcharged on a menu item. Added an extra appetizer and charged for it. Placed bottled water on the table without asking, and... then charged for it. I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt to a mistake or 2. But 3 times in one sitting seemsintentional. Prefer a more straightforward experience. Read more

The dosa was crispy with the right amount of spices in the potato stuffing. Utthapam was also equally good. Highly recommended... if you want South Indian food in the area. Read more

I was in the mood for Indian food and came across this restaurant. I called in my order of the chana masala and roti. When I... arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted and paid for my food. It was a little over $19. When I got inI dug in and there was plenty of food. In fact enough for 2. I thought the chana masala was ok in taste flavorwise. It was veryspicy but not too overwhelming. I had a decent experience. Read more

Indian (state of Tamil Nadu in south India) eatery specializing primarily in the flavors of South India. They have standard... northern India fare like Tandoori meats and other dishes, but they do what they claim to focus on. The soup was a bit too spicyfor me, but welcome considering the freezing temperatures outside and definitely warmed me up. It tasted spicy and a bit tartwith the addition of tamarind. The jumbo pepper shrimp was spicy, but the other flavors and lemon juice did justice to it.Definitely a must try for any visitor. The plain dosa was okay as it could have been made thinner than it was. I prefer athinner and crispier dosa. It could have used a tad more ghee as well. It wasnt bad, but could have been improved upon. Themain "thali meals" entree was good overall. I would've prefered the chicken curry with bones as opposed to boneless white meatto bring out the fuller flavors of the bird. The parotta was very good as it was light, flaky and crispy. The veggie dishes weredelicious. The chicken biryani was prepared and tasted better than some of other places that specialize in and serves itprimarily all day long. The rice was fluffy, moist and separated and I was able taste the ghee and the other subtle flavors inevery mouthful. Chicken was delicate and not overly spiced. The mango pulp pudding dessert was delicious. Extra sugar was notadded as the natural sweetness of the mango carried the dish. The service given by the co-owner Vimila was very considerate andattentive. The decor was simple and plain, but a clean environment nevertheless. Read more
