It's a minute from our lodging so we tried it.... WONDERFUL! We've eaten every meal there since. Note... They don't serve... breakfast and have not ordered alcoholic drinks, so the review doesn't include them. Their specials are excellent and so aretheir entrees. The Ragen Cagen was amazing. The staff was very friendly. I had the crab bisque, and my husband had the Asian salad. Both were very good. I also had the... berry blast cocktail, and it was delicious. The peanut butter pie was different from what I'm used to but very good. Beautifulspot on the river. Read more
What a charming place. Easy walk from our hotel. Loved the rustic decor inside. Good size inside and large deck for dinning... outside along side the river. The food was very good and fairly priced for Alaska. Read more
The service was fast and accurate. The server was attentive and pleasant with a great sense humor. The Buffalo wings were spicy... but not excessive. The basket also had carrot and celery strips. We also had the best peanut butter pie. It was firm, smooth,and the flavor burst in your mouth. Great place to eat. Read more
We spent a week here this winter. The room was spacious and comfortable. A nice hardy free breakfast from 6-10 each morning. ... Decorated in Alaskan decore that created a warm inviting atmosphere. Lots of Alaskan art on the walls. Several animals mountedin the foyer. Free shuttle to and from the airport and Alaskan Railroad Depot. Great location for our base of operation whilevisiting the Fairbanks area. Good restaurant next door, just a walk across the parking lot. The staff was friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Machala and Terry for going above and beyond. Uber was non existent, but there are several taxi services andrental car companies very close at the airport which the hotel will shuttle you to for free. We highly recommend the Pump Houserestaurant, which is a short drive but worth the trip. Make a reservation, bar opens at 4pm, restaurant at 5:00, closedSunday-Monday. Read more
I had a great experience at this restaurant. I didn't find the menu. Two terribly exciting, yet the people in my party. All... thought the prices were great! I ordered the burger and it was fine and I also really enjoyed my onion rings. Service wasawesome! I would definitely go back to enjoy the view, when it is not dark outside. We were very happy with the service here. We got the crab soup and it was the perfect temperature and consistency. We ended up... ordering a second because it was so good. Quiet peaceful atmosphere. If you are staying at the Pikes Waterfront Lodge, try toplan a lunch or dinner here. I really wanted to try the Cheddar Burger but didn't have time. I guess that gives us a reason toreturn now! A nice decent place in Fairbanks to get some nice seafood which is decently priced and good service. Ask for the specials. We... got the Hammer time special which came with king crabs , reindeer sausages , mussels and some bread. We also had some crabbisque which was delicious and ended our afternoon with some homemade delicious cheesecake . The lemon and chocolate both werefantastic. There is also an Alaska sign right in front of the restaurant which is great for pictures. Read more
