Our middle of the week dinner visit was very good. The sushi was excellent - beautiful toro and two kinds of uni (I opted for... the CA uni which was very rich and flavorful), and wonderful rolls. The dining room is large, and can be a little loud, and theplace was 75% full. With the multiple sushi chefs working, there was no delay in getting our order promptly. Everything wasgreat! Had sashimi bowl. Sashimi seems fresh. There was an overload of Wasabi hidden under there and cross contaminated sashimi and... other food. This place Wasabi is probably legit, it was super spicy. But it was pretty good dish. Read more

Ariake is such a welcome addition to the rather bleak Fairfax food scene. The sushi is hand rolled on order. Sometimes this... means a wait but it?s well worth it for the craft. The manager is keenly aware of the quality of the staff and food during thedinner service. Our sushi took longer than she wanted so she gave us free ice cream scoops. Staff and management are so nice! Ariake has a clean and beautiful interior. The last time I was here was over 2 years ago but... nice to see that the restaurant is still as bustling as ever. The Korean style chirashi was nice but I wish there was morevariety in the type of fish as it was only tuna, yellowtail, and salmon. The omakase nigiri plate was filling and high quality.The price for omakase was $60 for 14 pieces + a hand roll. Both entrees also came with soup and salad so it was a good deal.Plenty of parking and I will definitely try other dishes when I return! Read more

I went there family gathering of 9 ppl. This place is clean and the staffs are friendly. The manager guy was helpful for... selecting menus. The food served fast and fresh. I went here for my friend?s Birthday. We were a large group of about 10 people. Even though we did not all arrive quite at the... same time, Ariake was very accommodating. The staff was vey friendly and patient. (Oh and let me say, since we?re dining in,they took out temperature. Glad they take this measure for safety.) Once our orders were all in, the appetizers were not long toarrive: edemame, miso soup, miso salad, seaweed salad. All prepared the way the best sushi restaurants make those classicapps. As the sushi and entrees were brought out, every plate had a unique presentation depending the sushi, shashimi, and negiriselection. Needless to say the food was delicious! Read more

A new favorite. Large (75 chairs?) and clean restaurant with ample free parking (entrance on Prosperity Avenue). Although the... menu was deep with various categories, we chose 16 pieces of nigiri/sashimi on the pencil menu for our first visit. See photos.Delicious with great presentation & friendly service. Probably not the best place for small kids, but there was a 10-topbirthday party, so they can accommodate larger groups. I love watching the sushi masters behind the bar: 3 of them working on aSunday evening so that tells me a lot of fresh fish is moving through. My only constructive criticism would be on the limitedbeer/wine menu. But beverages are an afterthought when the salt water eel is That Good. Read more

This place is amazing! From the decor, cleanliness, service and quality. Regardless of what you order off the menu it will be... fresh and large portions. They offer plenty of parking, room for indoor dining while distancing and temperature checks uponentry. The sushi rolls are large with minimal rice and plenty of fish. The slices of sashimi or much bigger than the majorityof other places I have dined at and the service and staff are very kind and attentive. This place is highly recommended fordining in or take and they do catering as well. If you really enjoy sushi this place is a must try. Read more
