Pizza is delicious. Sides leave much to be desired. Delivery is so slow it is almost non-existent. After the delivery is 45-60... minutes late from ETA and we call we always get, "the driver just left." We either had great timing multiple times or they arenot even bothering to deliver until we call. Recommend to always choose pick up. Also, depending on where you look it's eithercalled Zaytoon or Mason Pizza. Read more
Up until this day I would say things like, "There is no such thing as a bad pizza" and "Pizza can be great, pizza can be good,... there is no bad." But, Zaytoon has taught me the error of my ways. Or is it Mason? They have not quite figured out their name,and they have not quite figure out the method for making good pizza. Two stars for good people and good service...Margheritaand cheese pizza were dry, overcooked, and somehow yeasty or sour, almost like the crust was a sourdough. I am sure it is food,and it will get eaten. My kids seem to like it alot. Read more
Inconsistent. The first few times I ordered from here it was some of the best pizza and v fries I've ever had. Lately, it's... been hit and miss. I end up waiting much longer at the restaurant than the time given when I order (usually 2x as long), burnttops, and last time not even cut into slices. When they're good they're great. Order was late and food was wrong. I ordered at 4:45pm on a Tuesday directly from their website with a 45-55 minute delivery... estimate. I received a phone call 55 minutes later asking me to clarify what I wanted on the Asiago Bacon Rolls? which I had toexplain I only wanted cheese and bacon. I knew this meant my order had not been made yet. 1.5 hours later I received my orderwith delivery and no reason was given for being late. Also, I specifically ordered the chef special pizza with pan crust butwhat I received was the equivalent of a bland cheese bread with scarce sauce and toppings (nothing special about this pizza) inthe wrong crust. I am appalled by the quality of this order and pizzeria. I called to ask what happened and they admitted togiving me the wrong pizza and offered a $2 refund. Worst. Customer. Service. Save yourself a headache and your taste buds andorder from another competent pizzeria that values order integrity and repeat customers. Read more
The first day we moved to VA, and while we were unloading the truck, a guy walked by and handed over Zaytoon's brochure. It was... timely received since we needed a food and we can't prepare anything while on the move. I ordered Hawaiian and meat loverspozzas. It was great and since then it became our favorite. Strongly recommend trying the Deluxe pizza as well. Their specialtypizzas are great in general. Read more
Worst wings ever. Just plain lazy. Skin was yellow. Fat wasn't rendered. And meat was overcooked. 0 for 3 on the only things to... get right on wings. And to top off the laziness, the wings are tossed in store bought sauce instead of getting glazed and set.Worst takeout decision ever. Read more
I ordered a large cheese pizza and the very first piece I picked up had a BUG in it. I always already halfway through the slice... before I noticed. It also looked like there was a hair in it as well or maybe it was just one of the bug's antenae. The pizzais honestly quite average. Nothing too exciting. You're better off getting a cheaper, bug-free pizza from the store. Read more
I want this place to succeed! It's in a fantastic spot, surrounded by townhomes, adjacent to George Mason U, on a main road,... should have a ton of traffic on a Friday Night, It should be the go to neighborhood spot. We have been looking for deliciouspizza, the mailer we got did the job and brought us there. Sadly, most of the order didn't hold up. The signage hasn't changedto Mason Pizzeria yet. Bruschetta, was not chopped garlic, tomatoes, basil drizzled in olive oil. It was however a square pizzadough with a slice of tomatoes and dried cheese, no garlic, no herbs, no fresh tomato or oil. Ordered an Alfredo pizza, thoughI am sure they put Alfredo on it somewhere, I couldn't taste it. It was a very dry cheese pizza. Order of Tomato Viscouvio= 6thin slices of tomatoe with a cheese and pesto baked into the bottom of a pan w/3 pieces of garlic bread..Finally! some garlicto be found sadly none of it was in the pizza or the rest of the order. A meat calzone was ordered and the eater reported itwas decent. I implore the owner to use garlic, put sauce on the pizza. We decided to eat in the restaurant with no one init.
