Love love love our mom Eugenia! Their moussaka is the best I’ve had. It’s objectively a heavy dish,but the spices, veggies... and the tomato in the meat sauce cut through and make it feel not heavy at all. It’s also the perfect portion of what youwant. We came here last night for dinner and definitely over ordered (I wanted to try everything on the menu). We arrived 20 minutes... before closing and asked if it was alright to be Sat and promised we would eat quickly. The staff at the front desk were verysweet and accommodating, and immediately made us feel at home. We both really loved the staff. I decided to order two entrees -the Moussaka and the Lamburger - while my date ordered the Avgolemono (lemon and chicken soup) and Solomos (salmon). We coupledthem with a server recommended Pinot Grigio and finished the evening with fried dough dessert drizzled with Nutella and toppedwith hazelnut. I absolutely loved the Lamburger - so juicy and deliciously seasoned to couple perfectly with the slice ofmelted feta and onions, pickles and lettuce. I like burgers and it's not an understatement to say this was one of the bestburgers I've had in recent memory. The Moussaka was good but a little bland for my taste. My date loved the soup and perfectlycooked salmon but the highlight for her was the lemon spanokorizo that serves as the base of the dish. I Just Wish The Greater Had A Better Attitude. FOOD: Very good. The Greek potatoes, AMAZING! The meat was tender and flavors... popped. ???? YUMMY! The Shrimp was well cooked and again, the flavor were well balanced and popped! DESERT Nutella Donutballs.. DANG! This is very good! A must! BATHROOMS Very Clean. Interesting, one female bathroom and one gender neutral...Whynot make both gender neutral? CONCERN The only big concern was the greater. Seemed stone cold. Mount Rushmore had morepersonality. Having just come back from a vacation in Greece (and having been searching for good, not-just-gyros Greek food in the DMV for... years), we decided to try this place and were not disappointed! We ordered the bone-in branzino, calamari, grilled octopus,moussaka, mixed grill, and lamb chops - all were perfectly cooked, fresh, and flavorful! The grilled octopus, branzino,moussaka, and lamb in particular were our favorites - both very tender and well seasoned. For dessert, we also got theloukoumades, which are made to order, and the orange cake, both of which were very good as well! Definitely recommend if you'relooking for solid Greek food. Read more

We were excited to try this place. Then we got a reservation but were surprised that all tables were empty. I don’t like the... behavior of the reception guy ( we were not greeted by the host, who was in the reception, and he stated only, "you have areservation?" I like the design and the atmosphere in general. The waitress was attentive, nice and the the service was fast.The calamari was delicious. Other plates were super spiced (a lot of spice ) we couldn’t eat it. Wow this was such an amazing experience. I've heard about Our Mom Eugenia but never did I imagine the food to be this great.... Wife and I contemplated between OME or Nandos for lunch and thank God I picked OME. Beautiful interior having colors of whiteand light blue like Santorini. Wife and I ordered the avegalemeno soup, Greek salad, calamari, and grill trio. Food portionswere quite big actually and any one of them could be a meal for one. Greek salad was fresh and delicious, the soup was reallyrich with lemon and big chunks of chicken. The calamari was Perfectly fried and the dip that came with it matched well. Finallythe grill trio was made exactly to the temp we ordered as medium. The roasted potatoes tasted just the right amount of crisp onthe outside and moist on the inside. Asparagus was grilled just right as well. The food reminded us about our trip to Greece andnever have we eaten food that was on par or exceeded expectations. Every Greek (and Non-Greek) will attest to Our Mom Eugenia’s delivery of authentic Mediterranean fare that is downright... delicious! Easily the best Greek restaurant in the DMV! Every time we go the food and service is consistently superior. Theingredients are simple and the dishes are well-plated. Family-style servings make for a shared dining experience - exactly howthe Greeks like to do it! Phil greets all guests as though they are close family; I have never felt less than entirelywelcomed!
