FAIRFAX | Woodlands Indian Vegetarian Restaurant- Its all vegetarian AND they have a vegan menu! We started with Idly and Veg... samosas. Both are sooooo good and I highly recommend. First time having Idly and it comes with a bunch of sauces (second pic).We could only have two sauces being vegan and they were amazing. One was sambar and I wish they made that into a soup so youcould just order that. It is like a stew and is perfect for a fall day like today! When I say all samosas are not created equal,I mean it. I’ve tasted many and know some places need some work, but Woodlands knows what they’re doing! The potatoesaren’t too chunky and all the spices are well blended throughout the samosa. And they are not over fried! Always a highlightof my meal! For the mains we had Tadka Dal and Masa Aloo Gobi (first pic in order). Both had great flavor and we plan ongetting again. Of course we have to get a bread and we got chapathi. It gave me roti vibes. We will be back forsure! #novavegano #novavegan #fairfaxvegan #veganindianfood #veganfood #vegan #indianfood #vegetarian Read more

Went a couple of days ago for dinner and had an amazing time!! The food is delicious and fresh, and the decor is beautiful. Nice... to hear people chatting in Telugu and Hindi ???? Edit: went a second time yesterday and just wanted to stay that y’all shouldstick to the South Indian food (5 stars). North Indian food is not very good here (2-3 stars) Read more

If you are looking for some authentic south-Indian place this is the right spot for you. The ambiance is really quiet which you... give you all those south-Indian feels you are craving for abroad. The rava masala dosa was crispy and tasty. The Puri Bhaji wasalso really good. The idli-vada combo was okay but could have been better. Staff are really cordial. Read more

This is the highly recommended restaurant . I love this place being non vegetarian. Soothing music with traditional music makes... you feel comfortable while having food. We ordered dosa , rasam vada and poori bhaji . I enjoyed peanut chutney but I wishcoconut chutney could have been tasted better. Overall I enjoy food here. Read more

This place is a JOKE!! If I could give minus I would, I’m a South Indian and this place is a disgrace to South Indian food! We... ordered thali and didn’t finish 10% of the food. The lady told the chef is a Mexican who would hire a Mexican chef for a SouthIndian place? Lol The rasam didn’t have salt, tadka, it was pure tomato purée Sambhar didn’t have a single vegetable, noflavour in it. No salt no spice nothing!!!! Nothing was edible. If you’re a South Indian. Run and find yourself a betterplace. We didnt even finish food. Will never come back. Nope. Nada ???? Read more
