Not your ordinary hibachi restaurant, I'll admit we went at a weird time on a Monday. My Plate was dirty with dried food, the... chairs were greasy, the bartender was not here so no one ordered Alcohol. Waitress was very quiet. There was no music in thewhole building. so we sat there awkwardly. The food was fine. Now this is my opinion so you should make your own and come seeit for yourself. The food is fine, the wait staff is very welcoming. The atmosphere is not ideal. Many families were here the times we went,... which is fine but not what we were looking for. This place gets one star because zero wasn?t an option. We called in advance to make a reservation and were told that they do... not take reservations on the weekend (Friday night), but to just come at 7:00 pm and it wouldn?t be too busy. This was for abirthday dinner with 7 adults and two children. We showed up at 7:00 pm and one side of the restaurant was seemingly reservedfor a child?s party and the other side was half empty. There was no hostess and no one to talk to that worked there when wewalked in. When we finally decided to venture into the other room with no guidance from anyone working there, the firstquestion we were asked was ?do you have a reservation?? Obviously, this was a shocking question to be asked. We responded thatwe did not have a reservation because we were told that they did not take them on weekends. Again, half the hibachi tables wereempty. We were told that the earliest they could seat us was 8:30. Everyone was extremely rude and made no effort toaccommodate us. The restaurant looks kind of shady inside anyway and is clearly struggling for a reason. Don?t be surprisedwhen you get a coupon in the mail from them soon. There is a reason why. Have been a patron at Akita for years. Food is always great. Sushi chef is so talented and friendly. Drinks are spot on and I?m... a big whiskey and wine drinker. Clean and beautiful atmosphere. My family celebrated my granddaughter?s graduation here last night. The food was delicious! The service was great! The owner was... very nice & chatted with us on several occasions. My family and I came here to celebrate after my niece's graduation. Upon our arrival, we were greeted and taken to our table... immediately. The customer service was amazing! The owner was very welcoming and chatted with us. She even gifted my twins thecutest little bears that they held so tight throughout our dinner. She noticed I wasn't drinking my alcoholic beverage, which Iwasn't a fan of, and she replaced it with a another alcoholic beverage of my choice which was delicious! The cook also did agreat job keeping us entertained as he prepared our meals. Overall, my family & I had a great time and will return. Read more
