It's literally a take out spot. Every review I've read (here & on the GF site) mentions nothing of this. There's a handful of... tables outside. It's in a little shopping strip. I kept hearing great things about the chicken from Love Bird. The pictures were amazing and even with mixed reviews, so I had to... check it out for myself. Everything sounded so good from the menu that it was hard to choose from so I ended up ordering2chicken sandwiches - The Love Bird and the Baja Bird. I also got the Brussels to the Beet which is a salad and a side of Macand cheese. The sandwiches looked beautiful and not thrown together. The chicken was juicy not dry and surprisingly had goodflavor!!! The salad is also fresh.....no wilted nor old greens. Omg the Brussels are amazing in the salad. You can also ask forprotein in it but I already had 2 chicken sandwiches lol. Now on to the Mac n cheese. I knew from the looks of it that I wouldnot care for it as soon as I seen the bread crumbs on top. It lacked flavor and cheese....I love a good Mac n cheese but thiswasn't doing it for me. But I did return the next day for another chicken sandwich and salad ...that's how much I enjoyed it.Going to try the regular fried pieces of chicken to see how it is soon. Giving them a 4 star rating because of the Mac, theyforgot to bag up the utensils and failed to tell me about the rewards program that they have where you can save $10 when youreach up to a certain amount of points. I learned about this when I went the 2nd time when I paid. Luckily I read the iPad whenI paid, but the sales person should let a customer know of this. I had to ask what this was about. Lovebird is amazing. Gluten free, dairy free fried chicken is witchcraft and lovebird did a great job casting their spell. Shout... out to Grayson at the Fairfield location. He went out of his way to deliver food to me in a separate occasion, and also is veryallergy conscious and follows up on your order to make sure it's right. Their chicken is amazing, coleslaw is on point, picklesare ridiculous... not a bad menu item to be found. Cheers to the crew over there, making my chicken dreams come true. Read more
Healthier choose when choosing a fried chicken sandwich. No GMOs or antibiotics just fresh chicken. I ended up ordering the... Lovebird sandwich with fried chicken breast and it came with house-made love bird slaw, pickles lettuce, and finished off withlovebird Special Sauce. I ended up with a side of fried picklechips as well. They also had specialty local made sodas inbottles to choose from. Very cute place to grab quick and healthier bite to eat. Read more
Here?s the deal! If my friends invite me to a gluten free fried chicken spot, I?m walking in skeptical. How I walked out of... @lovebird_ct is a different story! I was as surprised as anybody how crispy and flavorful this chicken is and by the way someof the best fries ever! Love Bird recently opened in Fairfield, CT and they're serving up some delicious and high-quality chicken! They offer... made-to-order sandwiches, salads, quinoa bowls and have gluten free & vegetarian options too! Love Bird is special because theirchicken has no GMO's, antibiotics, nor chemicals we can't pronounce. Pictured here is The LBLT which comes with all-naturalsmoked bacon, tomato, mayo, bibb lettuce and avocado. The chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside andyou would never even know it's also gluten free too! We stopped in for dinner last night and were so glad that we did! When I walked in, I was immediately impressed by how clean it... was, and the newly remodeled building is beautiful. They had a fantastic menu, and we chose their popcorn chicken, LBLTsandwich, and sides of Mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, and fries. Their menu is almost entirely gluten-free, but you reallycouldn?t tell that there was any difference in the food. We appreciated their variety of signatures sauces, all of which wetried and enjoyed, but the Lovebird sauce was definitely our favorite! I haven?t seen Boylan sodas sold around here before, so Ithought it was really cool that Lovebird had these! If you?re gluten-free, or just enjoy some good chicken, Lovebird isdefinitely worth a visit. Read more
After hearing all the good reviews locally, we decided to try here when I was craving some fried chicken. The regular pieces... were delicious, lots of flavor, juicy, and tender. However, the popcorn chicken was over fried and dry so we will not bereordering the popcorn chicken. The brussel sprouts was delicious and so was the southwest salad. The mac and cheese was a hittoo. Over all, solid 4 stars and will be coming back again! Read more
