This is my first visit. Only one negative. When I entered there was no sign indicating whether to seat myself or be seated. I... stood for an awkward amount of time before I was greeted and told I could seat myself. I was seen entering. After that, servicewas great. The place is clean and nicely decorated. The menu isn't large but has a nice selection, though very limited forvegetarians. My burger was unique and very tasty. Service, after I was seated was very good. I'll be back. Read more
This was a really terrible and weird experience. My husband and I were traveling on our way home to Lincoln, NE from Colorado to... try out breweries outside of the city, and we came to check out Fairfield Opera House Brewery and Grill. I sat at the bar whilemy husband was in the bathroom and smiled at the bartender. She completely ignored me, and I sat there for a long while beforethe other server asked if I'd been helped. I said I hadn't yet, but would love to see a menu. She looked at me like I was crazyand didn't respond. I asked if it was okay to eat at the bar since I saw someone else was doing so. She said it was and stilllooked at me confused like I was doing something wrong. She asked if I was alone like I couldn't drink/eat by myself, and I saidmy husband was in the bathroom but we wanted to order food and beer. She brought me a menu almost reluctantly and my husbandcame back. We sat for a good while and were about to walk out the door but she finally asked if we wanted anything as we werewalking away. By then, we'd decided we were going to leave but when cornered, were willing to try their beer. I asked if they dotaster flights, and she said they do but then was confused and thought I wanted four full-sized pours. When I asked if I couldrun my card instead of start a tab, she was really confused again and said it didn't cost anything and acted like I was a hugeinconvenience. We still wanted to order something and asked if we could have a pint of their IPA, and she didn't know what apint was so I clarified that I wanted a glass of that beer. It was bizarre, and both servers had really bad attitudes. Wethought this would be a fun, unique place that we would have liked to recommend to our beer-loving friends in Lincoln and Omahahad we had a good experience, as the beer was actually not bad, but the service was so terrible that we will never go back andwill tell others to do the same. Wonderful atmosphere, great brews, great food, great service, generous portions, reasonable prices. Their pints are only $3.50!
We just stopped in here for our anniversary and I must say it was probably one the top places we have ever eaten for our... anniversary, which includes most places in Lincoln. Great service great food. We will be back for sure. Read more
