Absolutely charming restaurant, the owners were great. The food is really good! I got the chicken fried chicken with gravy,... baked potato, and house salad. The ranch dressing tasted homemade, the chicken was perfectly fried and nothing was greasy. Theportions are not too big and just the right amount. Based on reviews & our route today ? we elected to try out this small, low key, casual cafe/diner. Service was good. Food... quality was very good (double cheeseburger with extra pickles) & my wife had the French-dip. Not fancy. Not super clean but theplace was practically packed with locals enjoying their entrees. Back home we used to say a place like this was ?a greasy spoon? hole in the wall? but great food ? I think that?s appropriate here as well. Read more
The burgers ROCK! I love a really good burger and they certainly make a great one! Brioche buns, thick-cut real bacon, yummy... melted cheese, and a huge beef patty. I was full after half of it, but ate the entire thing! Kid had the Mushroom Swiss Burgerand loved it. I had the Amadillo Burger without onions. It had jalapeno cream cheese! Sooo good and 4 type of fries! Theservice was great and the ladies are so nice! You can watch them make your food, if you want. This place is tiny. I will beeating here as I drive between College Station and Dallas to visit my TX A&M student. I found my new favorite Burger! Read more

The food was great and the service was excellent!! Riley was our waitress, she was attentive and helpful while we were ordering... and during our meal!! I was going to order the chicken salad sandwich and eat the chicken salad without eating the bread. Rileyask if I wanted the chicken salad with fruit... it was absolutely what I wanted and the fruit was served with a homemade poppyseed dressing that they make there at the restaurant themselves! Something Different is a great small town diner where the staff were really friendly and the food was excellent. I can?t go back... there soon enough!! The breakfast options sound fantastic. I got the fish sandwich with fries and a German chocolate cake. Thebaker makes fresh desserts twice a week. If I lived closer, I?d eat here all the time and would get super fat. Breakfast was great! Had to have it warmed up as it arrived cool. No butter on toast. Server was nice enough, but very loud.... Homemade pies? Crust isn?t? disappointing! When you have one customer, server should check on them once in a while, than payingall the attention to a huge to go order. Good food and fair prices! I will go back next time I?m in the area.
