Edit: RESPONSE TO OWNER BELOW. I love the food and atmosphere here. But on a long road trip I needed to stop and get a charge... for my EV and thought I'd grab dinner here as well. After I pulled up I discovered that both of the chargers were turned off. Iasked the hostess at the front what was up with the chargers. She responded that only turned on when the owners are here. Iasked if somebody at the restaurant could turn them on for me, she said no only the owners could. If this is untrue then theservice needs to be trained better. If true, this is a disservice to your paying customers. Signs are posted "Tesla chargersare for customers only." Needs to be updated to "Tesla chargers are on only when the owner is here, so good luck." Without anyother decent charging options around here I felt blessed to discover this place and always go in for dinner when stopping for acharge. That won't be happening again. Congratulations owners, you lost all of my business and saved yourself about a dollar ofenergy tonight. Response to owner: Educate your staff and this wouldn't have been an issue. I've purchased dinner at yourlocation more than ten times and have used your charger 3 times in the past two years. Maybe if you saw this as a communicationproblem instead of discounting my intention "like those other interstate drivers" you mention, I would have been moreunderstanding and edited my review. But if you're talking to customers like this the 1-star review stands. I can see whymiscommunication would be common with your staff. Yes, I do love the food and atmosphere. But I love good customer service andrespectable ownership more. And maybe if you were able to apply empathy you would see tonight's event as a problem. Freeelectricity? I have been fortunate enough to try many outstanding restaurants and this one is an absolute small town gem. Great food and... service! We also went next door to the brewery and it was also amazing! One Bite every body knows the rules. Mushrooms were awesome. Breaded Tenderloin was prepared perfectly on a toasted bun and... the grilled asparagus charred just right. And, the fries were uniquely seasoned and presented in brown paper and nested in ametal cup. I give them an overall score of 9.1. P.S. My daughter and I shared the mushrooms. She had a steak and baked potato.She too had the asparagus. She told me everything was great and the steak was the best she’s had in a while. I added thisbetter explain the cost selection below ???? We made reservations, which I highly recommend. We eat here about once a month. Our server was very friendly to her other... tables, but not to us. We didn’t hear specials. We asked for bread and didn’t get it….and here is a tip, you have to askfor bread. Our food was way below average. My husband’s burger was more like a slider and charred. My chicken was tough. Wetypically get dessert, but the waitress brought our bill and didn’t even mention the special desserts. This experience was anepic fail. The problem is sometimes it’s a pretty good experience and sometimes it’s an ok experience. You never know whatyou will get. Read more
