A feeble attempt at fine dining. The outside looks pretty dumpy, the parking is not ideal. There?s some weird patio that has... bricks stacked up some weird looking windows in a concrete wall. Very interesting. Went to the front door but you can?t use thatdon?t worry you have to go through the patio entrance. Where is the patio if you?ve never been here before ? Who knows it wasn?tclearly marked so hope you brought your walking shoes to meander about to find your way in. The interior looks dated anddilapidated. There were lights flickering on the dimly lit dungeon dining room probably so you couldn?t see the cracked tiles onthe floor. Extension cords for lights on the ceiling just hanging out .The table had nice white table cloths but there was paperplaced over top. I didn?t think linen service was that expensive to need to extend the life of some table cloths. While theydon?t have a dress code with other patrons dining wearing jeans and t shirts they do have a no hat of any type strictlyenforced. Our server was great and attentive the food was good but the price yielded fine dining and this was just not it. Alot of boxes left unchecked, I would recommend trying somewhere else. Read more
I am 72 years old and have been wearing a hat most of my life, including to fancier restaurants. Went to Peppinos with a small... group of people. After being there for 10 minutes, the waitress told me I had to remove my hat or I would be thrown out. This isNOT a five star restaurant. My hat was a lot nicer looking than the shorts other people were wearing.. I will never go back.Terrible policy. Read more
Service was a bit slow but the food was decent. I wish they?d have better options for people with food restrictions as it was... quite hard for me to find something to eat. But overall, we had a nice experience. Read more
Had a great time with a group of friends the other night. Standard priced mix drinks, great calamari appetizer mixed with olives... & jalapeños, topped it all of the with the veal chop. Gotta be honest and I ate it holding the bone in hand like a cave man(it was that good). If you have never had veal before then this is the one you want to cut your teeth on. Read more
Went to Peppino's for the first time tonight. What an amazing experience. Our server Mark was very informative and thorough. He... made sure our food was cooked to our liking and we had drinks. Joe was also very nice. All in all atmosphere was great, food wasamazing, staff was amazing. Will go back there for sure. P.s. the bread is delicious Read more
So its real hard to get 4stars from me... but they were so almost perfect with our meal... its worth it the food was very good... none of our steaks were temped right but the taste made up for the temp alittle to done for all of us the scallops very veryfishy my mom did not enjoy them at all... our server very nice we will go again... This place has such amazing food. My husband and I have been here multiple times and are never disappointed. It's a little... pricer than some of the other local Italian places in Erie but I really think you get your money's worth in the atmosphere andthe delicious food. The service is also stupendous! We had dinner reservations for a party of four and were seated promptly upon arrival at a comfortable table. Our server was new... and still gaining familiarity with the specials but she did an excellent job in providing us with everything necessary for anenjoyable dining experience. Our food was delicious. The portions were ample and filling. The selections of wines and beers keptthe table happy. We were very pleased with the atmosphere, the staff, and the food.
