I started this review after we had our tasting a couple months ago and now am updating post-event. Tasting: We have hired their... catering services and visited the restaurant for a tasting as dinner one evening. I am so looking forward to our event as thetasting was excellent! The dishes sounded simple on paper but we found the flavors and presentation to be beyond ourexpectations. Event: Appetizers were ready to go on time and tasted great! The servers were on top of it. We had a buffetdinner and after dinner, unprompted, we had so many compliments from our guests on how great the food was! The servers weregreat - my mom asked for a couple stuffed mushrooms (from cocktail apps) late into the night and they came back with 10 for her:). All around it was really wonderful. I don't know what all went into the clean up and packing up of the place settings, butit was ready for us to load at the end of the night as well as the bags of extra food packaged up and left for us that we tookhome. It made the end of the night very easy. The whole team was great to work with! I highly recommend eating at Thompson'sKitchen and if you have the opportunity to get their catering for an event, do so. You won't regret it (and your guests willthank you!). Read more

Amazing food, super friendly staff. The chef talked to us personally and was so friendly. The mushroom smash burger was... incredible, along with the fries and meatballs. Everything was so flavorful, every little piece of food was great. It was just asplendid visit. 10/10 on ambience. Cozy, clean, modern, and just eclectic enough for some extra flair. Why travel to downtown Nashville when you can have Top Chef™ dining right here in Fairview? I'm not kidding, what I... experienced rivalled any restaurant that I've experienced in the Gulch or 12th South. The atmosphere is a nice mix of upbeatmodern with a bit of country behind the counter. There's a great lounge area, full bar for mixed drinks, indoor, great outdoorseating and every section is clean. The menu has a wonderful selection of country dishes and high-end dining selections allreimagined with the chef's special touches. Amazing sauces like the comeback sauce and bourbon ketchup blew me away! All freshingredients, wonder presentation, and prices that will allow you to bring the whole family and still order dessert for everyone!Smoked Johnny cake is the best cornbread I have EVER had.
