Decided to try this new little Cafe while in town. Very impressed with the food. From the fresh squeezed orange juice to very... juicy flavor ful sandwich. My friend ended getting crab cakes which by the way she said some of best she's ever tasted. Comingback again for sure can't wait to try more items on menu. I will usually opt for indoor dining when asked, but here, I took a chance on their patio. It turned out to be quite a charming... space, with plenty of shade, and it was fairly quiet. It could have been even better with a small fountain running, but overall,the ambiance was pretty nice. We had salads and thought they were well made, fresh, and original in design. The place is very cute. But the inside smells icky. I was glad to get a seat on the patio. The place seems to have a few... employees that don?t seem like they like their job too much. We walked in and it said wait to be seated. there were people areover looking at us but nobody even said we?ll be there in a minute or acknowledge that we were there. We finally asked thegentleman if we wait to be seated and he said yes wait to be seated but we?re all busy right now and then when he came to seatus he just threw the menus on the table and walked away, so rude. A lovely place with excellent food and service. The dinner salads we chose were neither run-of-the-mill nor drowning in... dressing. The prime rib was top notch for taste: one diner at our table said he'd never had better. The desserts were donevery very well. The iced tea was just-brewed-fresh all night. Reservations recommended. Garden Center Cafe is a gem in the small village of Fallbrook, CA. We sat outside under in the shade and was pleasant with a... laid back atmosphere. It was a nice lil place the food was good, however the service was very slow and unattentive. We waited 20 min to get a refill... of soda and it wasn't even our waitress that ended up bringing it. I don't think it was personal. Just 2 waitresses for theentire restaurant. For the price the service should have been up to par. I don't think I'll be going back. Read more
