My family and I have always liked coming to the restaurant enjoy some family time and get to eat some of the food we like the... most. Unfortunately, this time around was not a good experience. We were a party of 6 and were sat at a very uncomfortable tablewhere space was very limited. Our server took 10 mins to come and greet us. Didn?t bring any water and asked if we were ready toorder drink or food. We ordered our drinks and asked him if we could have some time since we were not ready to place our foodorder. When it was time to order our food the server was not knowledgeable about the menu and seemed pretty unsure to haveanswers to our the questions we had. I ordered the baby spinach feta & cremini mushroom omelette & asked him to add jalapeñosto my omelette to which you can see in the picture he added an extremely amount of jalapeños. My omelette was spicy to thepoint of me to being able to enjoy it. The food got delivered and he didn?t asked if we were ok or if we needed anything else.He came back a few minutes after to ask if we wanted more drinks to which we agreed. At the end of our visit we asked or serverto evenly split our check to which he failed to do. I?m a very understanding person because I?ve worked in the food industrybefore for many years but after some time to keep being ?understanding? you get tired. I met my friend for lunch. We had a nice comfortable booth not to far from the door. We had an attentive waitress named... Strawberry. Our menu choice was the crab cake. It tasted OK, the crab was not chunk type and no veges or any other addedingredients besides the binder. But the price was fair and the fries and coleslaw were very good. Yes I will return. Read more
About as American as it can get????. Everything I imagined how an American diner looks like and feels like. First ever American... diner I visited and boy oh boy, exactly how they show them in movies????, even equipped with a working jukebox ????.Greatambiance, great pie and an overall just great food. Had a pancake, scrambled eggs and coffee and it was scrumptious ????. Thestaff were also very friendly and very very helpful. They made sure I enjoyed every bit of my experience. We always have a great experience at this location. The oldies music is a little shtick-ey, but the food is 2-3 steps higher... than you'd expect for the price that they're charging, and service is usually prompt and always friendly. For example, theyhave a big, fat piece of cod paired with quinoa that is SUPER tasty, and I never feel guilty eating it because they put thecalories counts right on the menu. I know I've made the perfect choice for the amount of calories I want to eat that meal. It's so easy to eat an entire day's worth of calories at a restaurant, so I really appreciate that they do that. Cheers! Read more
It?s a diner. And then so much more! Grew up going here but the changes to the menu are so welcomed. I can?t believe I had a... Vegan Eggs Benedict that was GOOD! If I had to compare the menu, I?d rank it with Busboys and Poets: a solid mix of familiaritems with enough of a switch-up to keep you trying new things for a while. Service is delightful. We had the Just EggsBenedict, my sister had the fried chicken sandwich and a side waffle. Simple and filling! Atmosphere was fun and comfortable. Service was friendly, but waitress (Helen) never came back to check on me at all and when... she eventually brought the check a while after I finished eating, I was finally able to ask for a refill on coffee for the firsttime. She was super-friendly so it almost makes up for the lack of attention. The eggs Benedict were very good once I pulled thetomato off the muffin from under the ham--I know chefs like to put their own spin on things, but this was not a goodcombo--Hollandaise was also a bit too lemony for my taste, but all-in-all, not the very best I've had, but far from the worst. The Cobb salad was really good. Lots of organic and grass fed items. Part milk shake was delicious.
