Great food. Nice selection. Very responsive staff. On the pricy side but worth the cost, IMHO.
This fish was so amazing; not only satisfying my craving for fish and chips, it exceed all of my expectations and more. The... pieces were HUGE and I could hardly get through half of one before having to put my fork down and give my stomach a break for abit -- and trust me that was the LAST thing I wanted to do! Had the grilled scallops and fries. Taste was awesome would give a slight less on 5 stars just because it def needed a few more... scallops, but other than that, would order again, the tarter sauce that came with it was excellent! Also had the seafood pokebowl, now that was loaded with shrimp and scallops like crazy, actually could have been less and still would have been great.Stars of the show were the soups! Shrimp Mac & Cheese was great and the New England Clam Chowder the best ever-(10 stars). Willvisit again for lunch. Owner was very nice! Read more
Our first time at Sheelen?s was Saturday evening 4/16/22 when we were passing by on South Ave. in Fanwood. Since it was late,... we chose takeout & are very happy with the quality and taste of the battered & fried fish & chips, Po?boy Shrimp sandwich andfried battered zucchini! The battered food is fried until golden & the fish is cooked just right. The portions are a goodsize, larger than we expected. The Cole Slaw is tasty. The knowledgeable young woman who took our order answered all ourquestions about the foods. While we waited for the food, she said we were welcome to sample their soups; the 4 large soupkettles are self serve. We tried the Lobster Bisque and the New England Clam Chowder ~ both were excellent. Everything waspackaged nicely and they included a container of tartar sauce, of cocktail sauce & packets of the Malt vinegar. The prices aregood, considering that it?s Seafood. New to the neighborhood and wanted so badly to love this place but this is a picture of a $15 scallops entree (way over cooked... as well) and three orders of fish and chips that were like rubber and hard to cut through. I wrote the company to see if they?drespond but never heard back. Such a bummer!!! Read more

Super fresh and piping hot. I ordered the combo number one and was very very happy with scallops and shrimp..as well as the... super large piece of cod. Above average service as well as a very deep menu...so much more than standard fish and chips...highly recommended!! Read more
Great place to get fresh fish/seafood. Fish & chips = Two Huge fillets of Cod in light battered coating + steak fries + Cole... slaw + tartar sauce.
