Went here many times and everytime it?s a disaster. The ?workers? will always be workers. they can?t make simple monetary ... decisions but instead have attitudes. I see why they don?t have much food and the food is dry and why Jamaica breeze took overthat area! Your staff is TRASH!! Do better for the culture!! How you can?t serve a side of calaloo?? Wow absolutely incredible. Had veggie rice, sweet plantains, and jerk chicken and just wow.
First choice... enough said. ... but to be honest and to clarify ... This place can eat my pockets and I wouldn't care. This... is what Jamaican food is supposed to taste like. You won't regret it. Trust mih. Read more

3 stars because the food is good but they are lacking in other areas; Food is good. Packing is bad,Long lines Prices are... inflated. Service is slow and like most Caribbean places...they are often out of staple items. You have to begin with, "what doyou have today?" Oppose to them asking you, "what would you like?. Also in this day and age they are not flexible in their menui.e I work at the hospital and alot of my coworkers are doing Keto. They won't honor meat alone or meat and vegetables combosetc if I want oxtail alone without rice etc you are met with...we don't do that, so my coworkers all end up at Yumzee or orderout to Chipotle etc cause they have vegan, paleo, keto options. You can get a burger on lettuce etc with no bun, meat over asalad etc I also used them for catering once and that was a hassle to get the owner/chef on the phone to place the order. Took4 calls, 2 visits plus left several msgs and he never called back. (In his defense he may not have received the msgs). Finallydesperate, I popped up unannounced and was able to conduct the business and paid. The catered food was ready on time and wasdelicious. Probably wouldn't cater with them again though. When you planning a function were you are spending about $500, Ishouldn't have to run you down. I have my normal West Indian caterer who I call and get it done with 1 phone call and a fractionof the cost but he was away at a function so this was a last resort situation. Definitely good bones but needs to modernize andits one of the few west indian options in Far Rockaway. There is now a buffet on Mott where you can pick your choices. Food notas good but you can stick to your diets. For West indian without rice there is no life lol but we are changing and adapting andJohnny's need to as well. Read more
The food is decent, but they are over priced, understaffed, with a bad attitude. Bad combo. Guy charged me a dollar extra for... two extra pieces of plantains, (Didn't know til after I paid) when you can get plaintains 3/$1 in the supermarket. Ridiculous.No longer a supporter. Read more
10/10 would recommend. Great food! Good vibes! The service is superb and totally unmatched. Cashiers and servers provide a ... warm and welcoming atmosphere for customers. I love the mouth watering dishes that they have to offer. I suggest trying theoxtail if you long for a taste of home like I did. I will definitely be going back there again. Read more
