I've been a server and have been a short order cook as well so I understand what it's like. Our experience with our family last... night was awful. The server was new so we understand mistakes happen but this was beyond. We waited for about 30 min for ourorder (she had 3 other tables and it didn't seem all that busy) which was feeling like it was getting to be a bit too long whenour server came back and greeted us like we had just sat down. She then realized we weren't newly seated but infact she hadforgotten about us and didn't put in our order and had to take it again.She did get our drink order in, not the food. We alsoordered 2 more beers. Usually when this happens in a restaurant a manager is notified and the ticket goes to the front of theline. Not here. Our beer sat on the bar ready to be delivered for another 25 min. We could see it sitting there but the serverdidn't go get it, the bar manager and the bar back apparently didn't notice or help. Our orders of 4 orders of chicken strips (one of the fastest things to cook) and one steak medium rare took another 30 minutes. And when our order came only 2 of the 5were correct. That also when she noticed our beer had been sitting at the bar. My son really wanted dessert but it had been 2hrs and after the food was dropped she never checked on us again until we'd figured out we could pay at the table ourselves. Tomake matters worse the table by us came later, she also messed up their order and didn't bring the kids food, so they got a freedesert on the house. And they left before we got our food. No one offered us anything for the horrible service. She was in theweeds, her 2nd day. So where was the manager to help or anyone else for that matter. They knew she was struggling and they didnothing. She did a terrible job but that can be forgiven. Service was ABSOLUTELY awful. I had to ask 4 times for a drink refill and 3 times for more salsa for my chips. Finally got up... and walked my glass to the bar for a coke refill. Our server was VERY rude and too busy talking with her co-worker to actuallydo her job. The couple next to us was also having to ask the same server for assistance repeatedly. After waiting for 45 minutes to be seated, our food wasn't at all up to its previous standards. The chicken was cooked properly... and the corn was soggy as if it had been sitting in water for over an hour. We asked for another piece of corn and it too wasdisgusting. We could see into the kitchen and there was food all over the floor and it just felt very uncomfortable to sit thereand eat. I actually lost my appetite pretty early on in the meal. Read more
It's probably been more than 10 years since I've been to a Chili's and it's about as I remembered as far as food goes. I will... say this was the first time I've been in a Fargo restaurant in the past few years where it didn't feel dramaticallyunderstaffed. Service was good, and bonus points for getting the kids' meals out first. Read more
Food was good but wasn't enough employees to give you an good service. Little bit slow
Chili's is usually a good choice when my family can't make up their mind on where to eat. The host and the server we had tonight... were fantastic! The food on the other hand not so much. We are usually a fan of the chips and salsa and tonight we come to findout they changed their chips to a thicker chip. A lot of the chips were super chewy and you couldn't bite through them. I hadthe Caesar salad with my meal and right away it smelled super fishy. I took one bite and never touched it again. The many timesbefore that I've had the salad it was super good. My meal came out about 5-10 min after my family got theirs and my fries werecold and chewy. The plate on the other hand was hot to the touch. Chilli's was great, I had a burger and a half rack of ribs (dry rub). The burger was okay, but the ribs were much better. I also... had pineapple juice which was pretty good (enough to mention it), and came in a pint glass! It was a lot of food, but it wasn'texpensive at all. I'm definitely going back, though next time I'll just have the ribs. Read more
Management is a joke. Overheard an employee ask for her break after another employee got there because she was apparently a... double & the managers response was ?we?ll see?. Mind you the place was not busy at all. That same manager walked by tablesnumerous times and never once took a dish to help out her servers. Stood there watching football. Lead by example. As someonewho works in the industry this is not how you mold great employees. This will make them run for the hills, as they should. Read more
