Food was excellent. Service was awful. If you enjoy getting your own silverware and napkins this is the place for you. If you... like the challenge of trying to get the teenagers serving you off their cellphones to do their jobs then you found your joint. Read more

Approaching from the outside this diner has done everything right. There's an old gas pump hooked up to an antique car. The... building itself is a perfect retro diner. But getting up to the door there was a whole sheet page explaining that they onlyallowed licensed Service Dogs inside. This caused me to wonder if they would have a problem with my giant Service Dog but I wasmeeting people there, so in I went. We needed a table for 8. There was a brief discussion amongst the hostess and the server. Itturns out, the place is really set up only for parties of 4. Any more and they start moving tables. So, they cheerfully andquickly moved a freestanding table to a booth and confirmed with us that the placement was acceptable. The menu was large. Asin, the menu played on the table was taller than half the table. So with people on both sides of the table, it was like duelingmenus. But we were all family, in a good mood and having a great time. So we laughed off spilling over the water glass with themenu. Our server was wonderful! He was so helpful, cheerful and continued to offer further suggestions for us. The menu was solarge because it was also extensive! From all day breakfast to sandwiches, cold and hot, to dinners and sides, shakes, malts anddesserts. The food was good. I would say it was better because specials were ordered by a car's name. The atmosphere and theservice were truly unique even amongst those that strive to be retro diners. The missing star is for not appearing too friendlyfrom the outside and a little room for creative improvement on the food. Read more

Our waitress was great. Very friendly. I had the liver and onions. Cooked to perfection! My husband had fried chicken. He really... enjoyed it. I had split pea soup. Nice and thick with plenty of croutons. Hubby had chicken noodle soup. We will definitely beback again. Read more

Had both breakfast and lunch here. This is a 60s - 70s traditional NJ diner. Huge selection of breakfast all day items,... sandwiches, soups, pasta, seafood, salads, etc. They get crowded a lot of times, but they have the staff to handle it Service isvery friendly and quick. Menu selection is so large, that it might take first timers a while to choose what they want. Not a badthing. Reasonably priced. During a two day stay in the area, we went here three times. This place is awesome! Cool 50s vibe, great staff, great service and awesome food. I had the Cheeseburger Deluxe. It was... perfectly cooked to medium....nice and charred but pink inside, very flavorful too. It came with a pickle, Cole slaw, onionrings and fries. Everything was hot and freshly made to order. Pam was my server and she's awesome!! The desserts are hard tochoose from....you'll want them all.. pies, Cakes, cheesecake, whoopee pies....oh my!! 'll be back for more! Read more

Talk about nostalgia, this place has it. Between the paintings, the booths and the music playing on the radio, you would swear... you were back in the 50?s oh and yes the food is really good. They have a big breakfast and lunch menu and I have had both here.A lot of good food at a great price plus the staff is very attentive. A great NJ diner. Read more

My wife and my one child and I went to the diner over the weekend and I have to stay overall the diamond decor was of an... old-school diner very inviting it is kind of a smaller on the inside than it looks on the outside but not a big deal very cleaninside the Stef I have to say was very friendly our service was a little bit on the slow side and the food was better than yourjust average diner I would return again because the portions were pretty good. My wife ended up getting the biscuits and gravywhich she did like but it did come out on the colder side I ended up getting the corn beef and hash and eggs but the corn beefis not fresh it is the Hormel out of a can. My son ended up getting the pancakes with Nutella and fresh strawberries and heabsolutely loved them overall very good experience except for the service being a little bit on the slow side other than that wewould definitely go back and try other foods on their menu Read more

Another visit, but it's only Kit and me for lunch on Sunday, November 28, 2021 It's been a while and this visit represents the... 3rd location of a Family Owned and operated business. Today's meals were very delicious. Kit had the half seafood sandwichwith crock of onion soup. I had the Three Meats Club sandwich, crock of onion soup and french fries. Ordered the Texas TaterTots for an appetizer, since it came topped with cheese, bacon and jalapeno. Kit requested jalapenos be on the side since theyare not her favorite. JB's will be building a Fourth location on Route 537 near Great Adventure with a proposed openingsometime next year. 3 years ago, having Lunch wit Kit and Caitlin after Church. All of our choices were delicious. Read more
