Stopped in for lunch on a weekday. I heard about this place from a few guys on a job site. They said the food was great and nice... size portions and quick service. They were right! I walked in and asked the friendly young lady at the counter what sherecommended. I ended up with a platter that had a 1/2 of a chicken, small salad, generous portion of rice and a pile of freshcut fries. The chicken was super tender and cooked perfectly! Rice was moist and had a great flavor. The salad dressing waslight and fresh and tasty. The fresh cut fries were hot and crispy, not soggy. All in all, it was a very positive experience. You can see this must be a family restaurant as the they all take pride in the food and service. I?ll be back for sure! Read more

Good authentic Peruvian food in an imperfect environment. It's nice that they had live music when we went but it seemed like... there was no air conditioning and like the room was smoky/foggy. Also our waitress had trouble with our big group but it wasmostly fine. As for the food it was all pretty good, no complaints but it wasn't spectacular either. Read more

My pork chop was flavorful and juicy. Can't wait to menu play more. After teasing my coworker with pictures of my lunch I picked... up a chicken dish for her which she enjoyed. Read more

Bring engaged to a Peruvian I'd like to think that by now I know what I'm talking about!???? Great service and tasty food.... Family run business and you can feel it as soon as you walk in. I don't speak much Spanish but this wasn't a problem at all asthe servers spoke perfect English. The younger boy who also served me was really on the ball and was delightful to deal with. Iordered the anticuchos, causa de cameron (shrimp) and papa a la huancaína - They all met the mark! Not only do I get to enjoyPeruvian food at home, but where I live in Hudson County there are many fantastic Peruvian restaurants and Perusa can stand upto any of them. I'll definitely be back. Thanks Perusa! And Feliz 28 de Julio!!! ???????????????? Read more

Food was absolutely delicious. This is your typical mom and Pop Peruvian restaurant so there is a small language barrier if... you're not fluent in Spanish. Despite the fact staff is still friendly and attentive. Read more
