Sadly...this is no longer Steak n Shake! Food isn't same quality. Menu is a cheap printer page of 1 confusing list on 1 page.... Food is served in baskets, no longer plates. Chili was disappointing, no longer same and cup of Chili was more like a soufflécup of chili. No more pepper sauce, no more frie seasoning salt. Honestly the sooner they close, the better. I will neverreturn. Our waitress was nice, otherwise this would be 100% a 1 star review. If you liked original Steak n Shake, you areguaranteed to be severely disappointed. Read more
Our server was super friendly and very efficient. She had an amazing personality and made us feel very welcome. We need more... workers like her. Thank you for an amazing dinner. Good old time memories. However, no more orange freezes and had to special order the chicken patty melt since it was noblonger... on the menu either. The waitress was fantastic and soft spoken. A breath of fresh air for the day we were having. Thanks for thegreat meal Read more
Good breakfast good price, unfortunately like most places they seem to be under staffed. But that didn't affect my meal. Please... be thoughtful when you go out to eat, the ones that do show up for work are doing the best they can, so please remember to tip. Read more
It?s been such a long time since I?ve had an experience this good at a SNS. I was very surprised to still see a wait staff and... not kiosks! The food was excellent (was very happy to see the Country Skillet still on the menu), the service was even better(thank you Mickey! Sorry if I misspelled your name). I noticed the bathrooms played older 50?s style music which was a nicetouch! There were some mishaps but still a very good experience! Read more
The chili fries had very little chili on them, tea was sour, chili Mac noodles was hard, dinner salad was nothing but the core... of the head of the lettuce, the only thing that was good was the ice water that was served to us. Took forever to be seated and then 10 minutes after we were seated we finally got our drink order taken. Our food was out before... our shakes were even started. The male cook seated more customers then the wait staff. The wait staff was more worried about thetip money left on the tables and who they belonged to then seating people and taking orders. I use to love going to Steak ?nShake but it is going down hill very fast!! Read more
This was our first time back at Steak n Shake I a few years. I was shocked and surprised by the changes. We were told this was... the only location in the country that still has table service, that is a good thing at this location. The menu was very limitedand my burger, a Frisco melt, had no toppings, they had to be requested and were extra. The chili was not like it used to be andwas bland. My wife got the bacon cheeseburger and said it was good. I understand that changes needed to be made to keep thechain operating, but feel like they focused on just keeping the steak burger and shakes, and not what made them great, theservice and food quality.
