I was not happy with my experience at the Olive Tree. I ordered the vegetarian plate to dine in and received my food in a small... to-go box. I even tipped well, although the portions were very small. The pita was brought to me in a plastic bag also. I had tobuy a second meal to be full and still tipped. I have been hearing about this place for quite some time before being able to pop in myself. My parents had actually tried it a... few times before Dad and I came in together. It was good enough that I came back the next day and brought the wife for a littledate night. I would say they do an outstanding job for Israeli Mediterranean cuisine in a casual take out setting. For somecustomers who are very familiar with Middle Eastern cuisine it could be said that more spice could be used. However I think theseasoning is spot on as this place is the first, and currently only, Mediterranean restaurant in the county. I think the spiceshave been balanced well to appeal to our local pallet. Myself included, this place is a great intro for those less than familiarwith sumac powder tahini sauce. I highly recommend the falafel and the lamb kebab. The lamb is so tender and flavorful it'llmake you forget about beef. Also don't be afraid of the Turkish coffee. Being a small business ourselves, we love to visit other family owned establishments, and this surpassed our expectations. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place after my brother told us about it. It was delicious! We got a sandwich, a dinner... plate, soup, and dessert! My daughter was more impressed with playing on the playground and making friends, which was a greatsurprise when we pulled up! This place is amazing everything we had was amazing. Everyone should stop at this place. It is family owned, the family is so... freaking awesome. I got the beef shawarma and it was amazing.
