Amazing food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. We started the evening with a drink on the rooftop bar. A quick elevator... ride straight down to this cozy restaurant. The quality and presentation was top notch! For a starter we shared a very generousportion of roasted brussel sprouts. I had the salmon and parmesan risotto and the rest of my party had the trout. This was my first time eating here at the Taproot. The decor is masculine industrial but matches the hotel. It was a bit cold... inside so have a light jacket available. The food was good and the service was timely. My date for the hanger steak and I chosethe ribeye. We both agreed I made the better choice. Over all I feel it is worth a visit if you want a good steak. Read more

A couple nights ago we had an amazing dinner here at Taproot Tavern in Farmville VA. We were very impressed with the excellent... service and high quality cuisine. When I think of fine dining in Farmville, this restaurant now comes to mind. We had anexcellent Brussels sprouts appetizer, and I ordered a wonderful lemon herb chicken entree. Excellent food (filet mignon dinner and herb salmon dinner) (small wedge salad and tomato soup were tasty and the in-house made... cheesecake was huge and amazing!), excellent service and welcoming atmosphere. Our server, Sarah, was outstanding and soknowledgeable about the area to help us enjoy our visit. We met wonderful people/new friends and will be returning to enjoyanother meal before our trip ends!
