The OG. The new place in York is nice. Lotta money into it, and well-deserved. It's basically got a huge ski lodge thing going... on. But their beer and music from the beginning was based on like Psychedelia and Stoner Rock... that's how I found them yearsago like whoa! So that swift shift to yuppifying things is a little odd. Seriously cool place. Big and new, my hopes were high. They were out of what I wanted so I settled for the pulled pork sandwich.... The thing was so greasy, there was a huge puddle at the bottom corner of my plate when it arrived. The bottom half of the rollwas completely saturated with grease that it would literally bubble out when I squeezed it. This is for the leader heights location. I?ve been there three times since opening. First they need to train their staff on... hosting. Every time I?ve shown up they look unhappy and don?t greet you, but the first thing I?ve been asked is if I have areservation. The location itself and building are really nice for the area. Nothing locally really compares. The beer is verygood no complaints there. The food, however, is not good at all. The selection is very limited and kind of weird. Love this lil Tasting Room. A nice Brewery destination location for those seeking some fresh drafts. People always say "it must... be something in the water"; with SCB, I think the water is definitely the difference in the quality of brews SC produces.Partial to the Golden Sky and Helles, but they are all delicious. Great facility, decent beer, mediocre/ overpriced food, terrible service. Details: Facility: 5 Stars - Beautiful facility,... although very loud. Bathroom locks did not work. Beer: 4 Stars - Decent beer, good selection Food: 2.5 Stars - The food wasmediocre at best, VERY overpriced for the quality Service: 1 Star - Service was very disappointing. Server could notaccommodate minor requests, there was no kids menu, ?crème brûlée for 2? came with one spoon when we specifically told theserver it was being shared. When we asked for an extra spoon the person who delivered the dish said he would get them and thenwent behind the bar to serve drinks and never returned. We had to arrange our own tables for our large party even though we hadmade a reservation well in advance. The hostess tried to split our party into to separate tables. Just had lunch there today at the Leader Heights location. Great service - I don't have much knowledge of beer but our server... told us about all the different flavors and what I might like since I am a Coors fan. Since it was so hot out, I opted for a"virgin" cocktail that had mashed fruit and was VERY refreshing. Great food - I had a pulled pork sandwich which had freshcucumbers and coleslaw on it. My wife had an Italian type sub on a great tasting fresh bread. Both sandwiches were ample in sizeand included made on premises chips. They will have a full kitchen in about 2 months we were told to offer more entrees. Will goback again. Read more

The staff was less than friendly. We walked in, unsure if it was seat yourself or if you needed to be seated. There were at... least 5 staff standing around talking. Not one of them addressed us or asked if they could assist us. We finally just decided tosit at the bar where the bar tender appeared to be "annoyed" by working.. He gave us menus but never came back to ask if wewanted food. Not until we were ready for another round. The only reason for the 3 stars was the female bartender that came overwas friendly and so personable. The food was fantastic. And the appearance of the building. Other than that unless you reallylike IPAs pretty much all of the beers are IPAs and if you like subpar unfriendly service find another brewery. This isn't worththe hype. A side note while we were sitting there at least five people came up to the bar to pay their tab becase They couldn'tget the attention of the bartenders at the back bar. Fabulous brewery with a great brew pub and super friendly staff. The beer is outstanding; the selection is decent enough. ... Outside seating is available too. The pub is very clean and always busy. The only minus is the lack of food service, althoughthere are a few restaurants in the area. Read more
