Nice atmosphere. Food was yummy. The Asiago grits were the best thing we ate and it was a side for $3, so if you end up here for... brunch, GET THEM. The Bloody Mary was average at best. The service was acceptable. We got the crab cake Benedict and it was verygood but they forgot to serve it with bacon and I had to ask for the bacon. And then when we got the bill they charged us $1 forthe bacon that was suppose to come with it. If it is convenient to come here for brunch it will do. Read more

This was exactly what I was hoping for. Great menu, beautiful bar with imaginative drink options, friendly staff. Outside... seating in the center of the square...flowers, history, very clean, really quite enjoyable for a late lunch with a date. Weshared a few appetizers with a pleasant surprise of shrimp topping our fried green tomatoes. Crab cakes full of crab...yummy! Ican't wait to go back, hope it's soon! Certainly recommend Cheer's!! What a lovely place and lively atmosphere! We got a trio nachos and salads as appetizers. The trio was delicious, colorful, and... spicy. The Ceaser salad was served with anchovies sauce, and neither the menu nor our waitresses mentioned this point!Unfortunately, cause we don't like anchovies, we couldn't eat the salad. I got red sangria, and it wasn't good! Also, it wasserved in a highball which sounded odd to me! For the main course, we got two Louisiana pasta and one grilled chicken breast. All of them were delicious and wholesome. The stars of our order were the banana pounding and the brownie we got for dessert. Wecouldn't get enough of these yummy treats! Overall, we were satisfied with the food and hospitality of the staff! Had a wonderful experience at the Old Post Office. The architecture is absolutely stunning. The menu has classic dishes with a... modern flair. The Ceasar salad had a peppery bite, his steak was cooked to perfection, the shrimp was buttery. We will skip thecarrot cake next time, it was a little on dry side for my taste. The banana pudding was the cherry on top of this wonderfulmeal, creamy and smelled like a banana Laffy Taffy, highly recommend. Read more

What a find! My wife and I were about to head home after visiting our son that weekend when we saw this place and, as an... afterthought, decided to take lunch before hitting the road. The place is beautiful and spacious. I always like an open kitchenlike they have. Our food was remarkably good and the service was perfect. The waitress was friendly but not too and attentivebut likewise not intrusive. We had the fried green tomatoes topped with a fried shrimp. It doesn’t sound as good as itactually is because it was surprisingly flavorful. My wife had a deconstructed tuna salad and she couldn’t believe how muchshe was enjoying it. I had a cheeseburger and fries because that’s just what I was feeling, but 10 out of 10 on executionthere. It was a Sunday lunch so no alcohol but there drinks did look tempting and they had a good selection of draft beersavailable. It’s designed to be a sports bar so there a TVs high on the walls and the games were hard to miss but, honestly, itwasn’t “in your face” about the sports bar part. We ate at Theo’s Rogers the night before for a fine dining experienceand we we terribly let down. The food just wasn’t good. I would rather have eaten here for our fine dining in spite of the TVsbecause the food was just that good. They get an additional star from me for running their restaurant so well during apandemic, a feat which I'm sure deserves at least one star. Read more
