When we pulled up, I looked at Brandon - Really? Um- no. He assured me it would be fine. Behind the rugged exterior, the dining... room was quite quaint. They had the most fantastic poster of a very glamorous cat smoking a cigarette . I meant to take apicture of it and look up the print- but I quickly scrapped that idea when my food came out. Unassuming perfection. This is a must try for all freshmen parents. Everything was amazing. Tried the three varieties of... oysters, all amazing. The pork belly app was perfect. Even ate the ?rabbit food? arugula it rested on. The arugula gnocchi wasso good. The drinks rocked and the service is friendly and attentive. Chef prepared menu with fresh ingredients. Wait staff were friendly, knowledgeable and beyond accommodating. Had pitas and... hummus, pork belly, and gnocchi and pork roulade with my wife for our 10th anniversary. Drinks were top notch and my bourbonmatched perfectly with the delectable bread pudding. Food was beautiful and delicious. Could not have had a better experience.Not everything in life is as it appears on the outside. INCREDIBLE place to eat. It's pricey but totally worth it. I had oysters, seared scallops, and expresso creme brulee. My wife... had the lamb. The food was exquisite! Cooked to perfection, perfectly seasoned, and paired perfectly with the sides. Wait staffwas friendly and efficient. Can't wait to get back there! Make sure you reserve a table; they fill up quickly. Eat here, and do not be fooled by the look from the outside, it belies a fabulous restaurant and dining experience inside. My... wife and I called ahead not expecting to get a table (game day). Service was good, main course and dessert were good, but there was an issue with the oysters - they were absolutely terrible.... This happens, no big deal, but they took them back and said they were taking them ?off.? Now we assumed they would be taken offthe bill, as we ate 1 apiece (there were three of us), but we were still charged. I don?t know if they meant to take them ?off?the menu (which I hope they did) or ?off? our bill, but either way it wasn?t the best experience. The staff was extremelyfriendly and attentive, but I would not recommend going on special occasions as it was a slight disappointment for the amount ofmoney spent. Read more
