Basically you pay for each item you choose like you would in a hospital cafeteria. Though you're served on a line and get your... own beverage waitresses come around to refill your drinks give napkins, etc Deborah "blue eyes" was very interactive, shebrought to go containers right away knowing they were running out. Food is always amazing. It is just crazy they say they offer a kids meal and then charge me normal price because fried chicken... isn?t a kids item. When we went down the line I told them I wanted me son to get the kids meal and they waited til I checked outto inform me that it didn?t count so I wound up paying $38 for just me and my son. I wish they would have what a kids mealconsist of in writing somewhere. This always seems to happen. They used to have menu showing on tv but not anymore. Read more
We were headed to one place but it was too crowded.. found this and thought we'd try it because we like old school cafeteria... style restaurants. The hospitality in this place was a breath of fresh air! The food was good, could've used a bit moreseasoning/flavor but it was good & you can ask for some hot sauce or something. They had fried pork chops and I added somegravy and onions to make it smothered like.. portion sizes are commendable. I ate 1 pork chop and some of my sides and saved therest for a full dinner meal. Price was less than $40 & with my tip came out to $50 something. The tea was sweet. My husbandlemonade was nasty though. Seating was nice. The food was amazing my family was here from NJ they loved it.
It was my very first time and my last not enough food choices. And some of the food were either bland or too salty and my choice... of dessert was the fried apples w/cinnamon and it was extremely sugary. Stay away from that dish. Love the atmosphere here, the employees are very helpful and polite. I got the grilled chicken with onions and mushrooms, corn,... and a chocolate silk pie. Would definitely recommend coming here. It was $15 for everything I ordered. Read more
What a awful experience at K&W in fayetteville,nc on Owen drive. First an foremost the Mac an cheese was watered down with no... cheese,liver was burnt an no gravy,yams was hard an not a bit of sugar,cabbage was dry an nasty,cornbread hard ancrumbly,suppose to be Salisbury steak dry an no taste an no onions gravy was dried out,ordered mash potatoes didn't even getthem,didn't have the dessert that was ordered,an what was sent was horrible. Almost $50 in food an it was disgusting. I willnever eat from this place again this is not soul food. I'm a chef an cook way better than this. I wouldn't refer my worsted enemy here. There was no utensils,no napkins,no condiments,no nothing, I would be ashamed to let any body eat here. Had calledthe restaurant to confirm order be sealed totaled an it was not. Mashed potatoes taste like they had been there all day. Salad was old. Tea was pure water. Out of sodas. Liver was dry. Chop... steak was half cooked. There is mold on ceiling and excessive moisture. Pies had water in plates. Worst it's been in 40 years. Read more
