Definitely the price is a bit up there and the woman at the window was kinda meh. It was a first time being there but the hush... puppies and the chicken strip are so so good! Ordered 15 piece tender box and a large order of fries....$68!!!???? (even though it was still advertised on the board and... online at $27!) I get to the window and "say that's for 15 tenders?" and the girl at the window says "yes, our chicken went up!"Went up is a few dollars! You are telling me it doubled in price? Went for lunch. I ordered a dark meat combo plate. The ordering process was easy and I was greeted with a smile. The combo plate... was filling and one of the workers even took our empty plates to the trash. I would recommend this place for a good fillinglunch. Read more

The lady at the window rude. I won't say the food was good or bad. Don't know. I asked what was on the sandwich when ordered,... the reply barbecue..... ???? Cool. Opened up the sandwich where there is coleslaw that was so wet the bread was soaked throughall wet at STUCK to the meat. So I have no idea what the sandwich tasted like because it went into the trash as I gagged at thesite. I don't understand why it is so hard for workers to take orders seriously. With my allergies I always ask what's includedon the sandwich. I can say JUST MEAT & BREAD all day. I get well it comes with sauce or cheese or whatever. Okay. Leave thatoff give me meat and bread. The gentleman that attended my family was a delight. My first time having fried chicken that actually was worth buying. You... can't and I repeat, you cannot compare it to KFC or any other fried chicken restaurant. I personally didn't like the packagedBBQ sauce but the BBQ sauce they had on the table was better. Coleslaw is where it's at and I'm not typically one to eatColeslaw. This Coleslaw was full and prepared well. Tasty but not too overpowering! We'll definitely be back! Perfectly cooked chicken with light crunchy batter. Yummy! the honey hush puppies are to die for and I don't normally like... coleslaw but I love this kind. all the sides are good. Smithfield recently catered three of our events and kudos to Charles andthe rest of the staff for putting it together and loaded up for me. Outstanding customer service and super clean restaurant.Will definitely be back again and again. Read more
