Moved away from the area but when I do visit I try to get here any chance I can. The hibachi is an excellent experience...it's a... show, comedy, pyrotechnics, and of course the food! All at an extremely good price. Oh and BYOB(and possibly some saki shot inyour mouth)! Never change Kyoto...I miss you.... Read more
Bloody tendinous beef tataki you can’t even chew through (bloody noodles beneath- see pictured)…poor quality... fish/craftsmanship, horrible service and customer appreciation, tacky/outdated decor. Way too many sushi places in the area-this is NOT one you should visit. Ew. Read more
I enjoy how flavorful and inexpensive the food is but they frequently mess up my order. Especially when I order hibachi but get... sushi as well. Still, they return to your table again and again to correct any issues and the food is worth the price. Read more
My father and I have been here a few times previously. Today we stopped in to get lunch. Our waitress was extremely rude. And... the sushi didn’t taste right. On top of that I had ordered an unsweetened tea and my father had ordered a Pepsi. The glassescame chock full of ice and a little bit of a fountain beverage. And the waitress refilled my fathers soda. When we got the billshe charged him four dollars a piece for the Pepsi‘s. And four dollars for my tea. In what world! Not only that he had left avery small tip because she was rude to us and Very inattentive. I had asked for extra ginger with my rolls and got barely any.And then she tossed the cup onto the table. We walked out after paying and she came outside after us making a scene asking usfor more of a tip because it wasn’t 15%. She asked if she could change the tip left on the charge slip to 13.00. We walkedaway and she followed so my father left her two more dollars and said sorry you overcharged us as it was. Sadly we won’t beback. Read more
You always excited when ordering sushi… Every place makes it differently, some add way too much rice & barely any main... ingredients. Some not as fresh as you expect and so on. Since I was extremely busy at the office and couldn’t go pick it upfrom “Sushiman” like I always do, I ordered Uber Eats from “Kyoto Sushi” (Sushiman was not available on Uber Eats).After my food was delivered I was extremely disappointed. Looked like someone tried to make sushi while watching YouTubeinstructions. The ingredients tasted bad, and you can see in the picture (one with chopstick) how much they add salmon to somepieces, it’s barely visible. If you ever in Huntingdon Valley, check out “Sushiman” you will be very surprised how hugecan be the difference between two places making exact same rolls. Read more
Our absolute go-to for sushi in the area. The sushi is fresh, and consistently high quality, the waitstaff is attentive and have... great attitudes, and overall it is always a pleasant experience. Ambiance is nice, with a dark wood theme throughout. A fewyears back they added hibachi, which more than doubled the size of the restaurant, but also, well, added hibachi as anoption! Prices are really solid (though like everything else post pandemic are creeping up) and have gone up a dollar a roll.That's fine and we'll deal though as a family of 4 we're good for 15-16 rolls, so that adds up. Kyoto is BYO, which is a niceway to get the beverage of your choice and not have to spend the 400% markup. I can strongly recommend. Read more
Kyoto has great Sushi & Hibachi at a discounted price from most places that sell the same and they taste better than most.... Comfortable seating, clean, great service & atmosphere. I always get the spicy crab roll with eel sauce & scallop Hibachi. Sodelicious ???? Read more
