Delicious chicken gyros (shawarma) , a lot of meat inside and the sauce is good as well. I wouldn't add fries in it, as it is a... little bit heavy on my stomach,but I will customize it next time. The lamb shank was not slowly cooked as suppose to be, it was boiled. This is not how supposed to be served. Even more, it was... cold inside like from the fridge and warmed up. I came here with a friend for lunch. We each ordered gyros with a side of pita wedges and hummus. Even though short staffed, our... order was brought out quickly, it was delicious, generous portions, and the service very friendly! April 6, 2022. I bought 2 Beef shawarma plate for Ramadan Fasting around 7:00pm. The food was old, i barely ate 1/4 plate... because I was hungry. By the early morning, it smelled very badly I couldnt eat for suhur time(start of fasting time). The meatstarted smelling really bad, they used old meat. Whoever is owner of this restaurant, I could have put 1 star, it is Ramadantime, we have to be more polite. Is this how you feed your family? Food was okay but prices are relatively high for the quality of food. Shawarma sandwich was $12 and the fries were $10. The only... thing worth paying a high amount is the Gyro Plate. The rice was delicious and different and the meat was great too. Read more
It blows my mind how this place managed to stay open through pandemic times and beyond with flavorless food, day-light-robbery... price [charging north of 20 dollar for half a plate of gyro with tasteless lettuce and dry tomatoe so drenched in Tziki sauceyou cant tell tongue from foam from edibles]. Not to mention the blah customer service, especially when it comes to minorities,and the very long wait for food. But I would rather pay for an uber to and from Kent, and then treat the driver to a drink,maybe even send his wife a bouquet of flowers, and toys for his kids, for a plate of Ishtar Restaurant's authentic gyro plate[less than 10 bucks and what yumminess!!] than spend another penny in this terrible awful no-good joint. Far be it from me towish for a small business to close. But this is a restaurant that hopes to profit from over-charging new customers, in the hopethat more su?kers would walk through the door tomorrow, or have some other su?ker pick their food through a mobile app, and notby building relationshops.
