My husband and I drove up for a quick relaxing getaway last week. The food was delicious! It was nice to have a romantic,... intimate, fine dining experience the first night, and we went to the pub downstairs the second night. Both were excellent!Service was great. The staff treat you like they've known you forever, and went above and beyond to make us feel special. Visited for my husbands birthday weekend. Loved the service. We were greeted by Trish at the front desk who was very friendly... and helpful. Our was room clean, spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view. We dined at the restaurant which was actuallyreally good - ordered the short rib which was cooked perfectly and the restaurant had a really nice selection of wine. I have never been to a wedding where a staff member is so rude to the bride that it makes her cry on her wedding day, but you?ll... get that kind of service here from Jenna. Jenna is the event coordinator/manager and incredibly unprofessional. She actedhelpful during the rehearsal and said that she will come at 12pm the next day to help with wedding things but she ended upshowing up at 3pm (an hour before the wedding). Now the bride could have yelled at her and asked her why she was so late, butthis bride didn?t care about that (she?s pretty easy going) and just asked her some questions about set up, which for somereason, upset Jenna and caused her to be very unfriendly to the bride who never once got mad at her even though she had everyright to be. The photographer for this wedding was so disgusted by this behaviour that she ended up taking over and dealing withJenna so that the bride no longer had to speak to her which was so nice of the photographer since that wasn?t her job. Jenna?sreasoning for her behaviour was that ?she was tired because she had another wedding the day before? which honestly, if that isthe case, then maybe this isn?t the profession for her. Overall the wedding was beautiful (no thanks to Jenna). Food at thereception was delicious. It?s unfortunate Jenna tainted such a beautiful day. Jason (property manager) reached out to the brideto ask her about what happened and was apologetic, saying he?ll make sure it won?t happen again. We stayed at the Dunsfordwhich was alright. There was no bottled water provided in the hotel rooms and they don?t put drinks and snacks in the minifridge for purchase so make sure you bring your own snacks and drinks. The course and rooms are nice and the staff were friendly. There are some things that need attention that would help take this... place to 5 stars in my mind but my wife and I had an enjoyable weekend. Hailey in the dining room however? Do NOT waste your money here. We spent one night and it was over $600 total. It was nothing special at all. I paid $35 for a... tray of chocolate covered fruit. There were four single blueberries and about 10 strawberries. The strawberries were covered inmold before they covered them in chocolate. Of course we did not discover this until we bit into one. We left the moldy fruit onthe tray for staff to see. I did report it and was told that it would be taken to management. Nothing was done. I phoned andspoke to a man who was extremely rude and told me they never compensate for things gone wrong. Regardless of the fact that itwas 100% their fault. And it's funny because after I told him I was going to write a horrible review here, he said oh well...I was going to give you something, but now I'm not. After he said about five times prior to that that they never give any type ofcompensation. LOL. If this is a guy that runs this place? Horrible, horrible customer service. If this is an employee? Isuggest you fire him. The eggs that you pay a significant amount for in the morning were also half raw. The only saving gracefor this place was the rest of the staff. They were amazing, and if they were smart they would go work elsewhere. If you arelooking for a place to stay around here... Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Read more

An amazing wedding venue! Stellar views and lovely facility for a large group or family reunion. We were there for a wedding and... it was just perfect. The views from the wedding banquet hall were gorgeous! Food was great and service was wonderful. I was veryimpressed with Jenna, who helped organize the wedding for my son and his bride. She was professional and exceedingly helpful. Iwould highly recommend Eganridge for a wedding or other similar function! Read more

We had a really great dinner at the resort on a rainy Friday night and we were quite impressed. The view and grounds are... beautiful, service was excellent and the food was very good. Focaccia bread, chicken and mini donuts were particularilygreat. Reasonably priced considering the atmosphere, service and quality of food. Wine is a good price and not a complete ripoff like many places. I grew up in Lindsay and now live part time in the area again and can't believe I've never been in allthese years. I would highly recommend it. A few suggestions for the owner/manager/chef: I would put a steak or gourmet burgeron the menu as folks around here are big beef eaters. I would bring my teenagers for dinner but not sure there is too much onthe menu that would appeal to them. I'd also suggest more uplifting music to make the vibe less sleepy. Such a great property,I think it could be spectacular with just a little bit of modernizing and advertising. (Maybe some specials, a few menuchanges, events, etc?) We will definitely go back again.
