Got there from Wixom with a small riding group of friends. For 3 of us it was our first time and man, what a wonderful surprise.... Place is quite popular and today was some sort of a festive day in Fenton so we couldn?t get a table by the terrace. Nevertheless the food was plenty and cooked to order. Two of my friends had the lake perch with bisque soup -which wasmeticulously presented and based on their face quite amazing! Me and the other party had a house salad with our entree. He hada steak and I had the eggplant parmesan with garlic pasta. There is a considerable suited parking lot adjacent and regardlessof the busy time we did not have a problem doubling up a car space with our bikes. All in all -with the gorgeous day riding inand out of Fenton- it was a very delightful dinner with best friends and worth making a mental note to return with other closerelatives. Highly recommended. This place is very nice inside with what looks like copper ceilings and elegant lighting. The people working there were... extremely nice and very helpful with knowing what was good on the menu. I tried the calamari and the shrimp cocktail. Both werevery good and a decent size too. The fish and chips were very good and came with a good portion of fish. The meatloaf was verygood with mashed potatoes and the gravy was excellent. The parking and the restaurant inside and out are wheelchair accessible. Read more
I went here for dinner on a Saturday night because I love older places with some history. The Fenton hotel has a great... atmosphere and it can remain cozy while having plenty of seating because it has multiple dining areas. We ate in the bar areawhere they had live music. I really liked the Christmas decorations! We weren't very hungry so we just shared the white fishdip for an appetizer and we each had a bowl of soup. Everything was so delicious! Our waiter was very friendly, even though wewere really taking our time to order :) The only minor complaint I have is that the water tasted a little funny. The waiterwas upfront about this and said that Fenton water tends to taste a little funny. I'm not from Fenton, so I don't know about thatbut what I do know is Y'all need a filter. We went to dine at this restaurant during the Halloween season because it is said to be haunted. We spoke with the owner and he... gave multiple examples of his own personal experience that seems unusual or strange. My middle daughter at one point looked upand saw the chandelier shaking, at first I thought it was just the fan but the other surrounding chandeliers we're not shaking.There also was no train going by or unusual commotion on the top floor above us. The food was decent the best food on the tablewas the pumpkin apple bacon soup. The mac and cheese was okay. The main course of surf and turf seems a little overpriced. Theircalamari was also good but sparse in combination with the peppers and onions. Overall the service over shined the quality offood. The accommodation from staff from the owner on down to the hostess was absolutely amazing. Great Service! This service waswhat took it from three stars in my mind to four stars. Read more
Really great spot for an intimate meal. The staff is professional, reserved and always polite. The lighting and atmosphere is... great for a meal with close friends, or with the special someone. The prices are well within reasonable means, especially whentaking in to account the quality, flavor and portion sizing. We visited on a Friday, and they had a live band which only addedto the overall experience. We will certainly be returning, for the service, and the lobster mac and cheese. Read more
Wonderful place made for a great dinner! Food was fresh and hot. Nothing overcooked or undercooked or made before we had... ordered. The memory is going a little but I believe I had ordered chicken strips and fries because I was looking for comfortfoods. I do remember I caved and ordered BBQ ribs additionally. I was supplied alcohol wipes to clean with. A guitarist wasplaying live music and taking requests. He had a list of songs you could request from a variety of genres and musicians. Asports channel was playing on wall-mounted televisions evenly placed throughout the dining room. One television playing the samechannel was in the waiting room. Seats were comfy and both rooms were clean. Waiting room had a couch. Read more
